Good on ya mate. I have still to add a Ranger to the lineup. But I'll get around to it eventually

I sent the seller a PM and made him an offer he couldn't refuse!
This knife has a rather rare tang stamp. I've never seen this tang stamp on a KL 1993 knife before, but on the internet I found two pics of KL 1993 knives with the same tang stamp.

Very nice! What´s unusual about the tang stamp? My 1993 DAK has the same one. Do you have others?

Well, all the ones I have seen have the tang stamp: "VICTORINOX SWITSERLAND STAINLESS" in larger print. This ones is a rather small letter type.
In this picture you see two another variety. Both knives are Centurions (item number 0.8453.4) with "nylon military green handles". The DAK KL 1993 had item number 0.8451.04.

Mine seems to be a third variation. It doesn´t have the STAINLESS but SWITZERLAND is in the larger font, aligned with VICTORINOX.

So now we have at least 3 different tang stamp versions on the DAK 1993 ???????  Plus another one on the 0.8453.4  :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

Probably Victorinox made different batches of this knife and each batch had a slightly different tang stamp. That's my theory, for what it's worth....

Hi, I'm new here! If I may ask a question. From Sweden you say? Is it just a joke on the country names tend to be interchanged, is out a user name that does mods out what is it references?

It was an ebay auction. Seller was located in sweden. "2220U" is the model number of that particular Victorinox knife at the time of production. "Elinox" refers to the stamp on the tang of the blade. "Old cross" refers to the emblem type on the handle.
