If there were ever a SAK to put me on the straight and narrow path of the SAKMC, this might be it.....

Well....who are we kidding here?  >:D

But I'm super excited by this Urban Pioneer (X).  My chief frustration is that I'm in the middle of a LM Rebar 30-day challenge and can't carry this beauty for another 2 weeks!

Wow! Oh my what a beauty!

Couldn't take pics of all those I got this week... There's some real gems (just spent a fortune ) that deserve daylight shots in a nice setting. I'll try to do that this weekend. For now I'll leave you with these other ones: first one I received today, other ones I just got back from the spa.

Got this real cheap: 1940-1950 Wenger (according to this thread) (don't know what to call it). I spent a while cleaning it and it's still going to need more but it's too cute for me not to share it :D

Hercules:

Last but not least, the Farmer: (it had a snapped back spring opposite the Saw, maybe a new spring shape required a new saw tang shape? Otherwise I can't understand why they felt the need to change it and the pruning blade)

Do you think it was worth it? I just love how it looks with these brand new scales!

Syem, that Harvester is amazing! Maybe they wanted you to have a super sharp new saw and pruning blade. Nice to know they can replace those old cross scales. It would have been nice if they could find an old stock Elinox blade too, but definitely worth it.

Handyman? (sorry, posted in the handyman thread too)
Looks like Handyman to me.

Nice!  >:D  Never had one before!  I want to put camping scales on it!

I put Fisherman´s scales on mine! I need both pliers and scissors when fishing. A scaler would not get used at all. All my fishing is trout (you don´t scale trout) and Rudd (catch-and-release).

I haven't used the fish scaler for scaling fish either, but I used to use the hook remover on my SwissChamp a lot for trout fishing. The pliers work for that too, but the deeper set hooks are sometimes easier and less damaging with the dehooker for C&R on smaller fish.  :salute:

Actually the Desert Trailmaster is my latest. But Syph´s Buccaneer has yet to arrive.
I´m very happy with both, even though they souped up the better part of my 2017 budget.

The Trailmaster has the standard Vic shield and cross, and no year-of-issue tang stamp. Otherwise it´s very much a Soldier.

Send it to me.  :pok: I'll carry it for you. I've regularly EDC'd a Pioneer X since I first got one.  :gimme:

Where do you find these beauties anyway?

Living in Switzerland has its advantages when it comes to collecting SAKs :D
The answer to your question is: mostly through Ricardo.ch. I do also sometimes find good stuff in flea markets and yard sales...

Syem, that Harvester is amazing! Maybe they wanted you to have a super sharp new saw and pruning blade. Nice to know they can replace those old cross scales. It would have been nice if they could find an old stock Elinox blade too, but definitely worth it.

Aha you're right! I didn't even think twice after I brought this half-broken-and-full-of-crud-and-hay knife I'd just received to my local Vic store and they identified it as a farmer before sending it off. I truthfully can't see anything wrong with the wood saw. The pruning blade was not perfect but they're returned to me blades and tools in worst shape than this before.
I'm ecstatic with the result though... kind of sad about the tang stamp but I fortunately asked to get everything back so the Elinox blade is at least not lost :D

Rescued this poor Wenger for $4 at a flea market yesterday.

It's absolutely abused, but it was so sad to see it rot and rust away on that table that I had to take it and do what I could to restore its past glory   :P

some cleaning, grinding, and sharpening and it looks much better today, and ready for carry   :tu:

I picked up a “NOS” climber with the long nail file. This one will be a shelf queen with all of my Grey mag lenses knives.
