I bought a black oxide SwissTool today at the Freeport Knife Company, in Freeport Maine.  Now my SS model has a friend to keep him company.  I was told by the owner that the latest Victorinox supply catalog no longer lists the black oxide tools as available.

Is this a chipmunk, ground squirrel, woodchuck, meercat or what?

I know :)
I found a used one but it's actually like new! And it was slightly cheaper than shipping one from Asia.

Yours will probably come with a nice box though unlike mine :)

Just picked these up at the Wenger store on the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder. They're all items not normally available in the US.

Backpacker 12 with compass, saw, flat phillips.

Junior 10 with blunt blade, combo tool, phillips.

Graft 02 with grafting blade.

Just got in mail today an 05 Vic Soldier.  Got it off Ebay for $2.  Only thing wrong is the tip if the awl is broke and scratches on the blade.  Doesn't bother me though, I just needed an 05 for the Soldier collection.

Those scales look neat, but I gotta be honest, whenever I see them I really just want to take a sander to them and round the edges.. then they'd be perfect.. IMO.

Nice find. If you use a diamond file you can bring the awl back to life.
If I remember correctly, wait, what was I saying?

My latest came in the mail yesterday. Nothing fancy, but rather practical. A 93mm silver alox Pioneer Harvester. I really like the small pruning blade and the saw. I can carry this when I don't feel like lugging the new Soldier knife around just for the saw.

Wenger soldier to sit next to my soldier 2008. Would be nice to have earlier soldiers.

thanks for the heads-up. unfortunately this little guy will have to go to the back of the line for now. i'm currently on an alox spree. i just posted the one i got yesterday--the pioneer harvester. a couple of weeks ago i got an orange alox cadet. i have a black farmer in the mail coming from switzerland, and a final production run of the '61 soldier that is also in the mail.

and those are just the sak's. i have either received or am expecting delivery on many more of the traditional--non sak--folding knives that i collect, also! i need a freaking intervention! but thanks, though!

Forget "the traditional--non sak--folding knives" and focus on SAKs....  :pok:  :D
