Managed to snag this beauty on eBay.  It's a 1950s Model 245ka (basically a Small Climber).   :climber:
Based on the tang stamps I estimate it's from between 1952 and 1957.

This is my first SAK with exposed rivets, and I'm excited to add it to the collection.  Before this my oldest knife was a late 1960s Champion B, also with the long nail file.

Thanks, El C!  You know, it's amazing how little these things have changed over the years.  And the fact that this knife is still just as useful in my pocket today as it was 60-some-odd years ago is a true testament to Victorinox quality.

Yup!!!

I'm fortunate enough to own one Climber small, but it's not so vintage like your beauty, believe it's early 80's.  Either way though, it's awlsome to have the Climber tools combo in 84mm.  I much prefer it to the 84mm Golfer for EDC.    You're making me want to carry it right now! lol!  Just 7 more days to go carrying the MTO PX.

Since I started collecting SAKs I've found myself drawn to the 84mm knives.  I managed to snag an older Salesman with square Phillips (basically a small Super Tinker) and it's quickly become one of my go-to knives.  Lots of features in a small package.  I know I'm not the only one who wishes Vic would bring back the 84mm scissors.

Thank you kindly!  It's in surprisingly good shape to be 60+ years old.  Once I gave it a bath to get the grit out and oiled it up, the tools all have good snap to them.  No nicks on the blades, although the tip of the small blade is ever so slightly bent.  But you'd never notice it unless you were REALLY looking for it.

The back scale has a little ding on one end from where it looks like it was dropped.  I may put a bit of epoxy in it just to keep it from getting worse over time.
