My latest SAK, not new though--my old Champion with new scales made of wood burl from Bali, Indonesia.

Holy crap! Those are georgeous!!!

All my custom scales are made by the same person MrWilson commissioned... I did ask him sometime ago... He used some controlled press machine and some glue to attach the inlay onto the wood scales...

Fresh from the spa, a brand new (except for the spring) Midshipman :D

They actually changed all the other pieces for next to nothing.

Funny thing is they don't have any back scales with the cut-out in the old red so the front and the back are slightly different shades with the back being a bit darker. They did ask me before doing it. I said yes for the blade too while I was at it.

An arrival late yesterday.
I've had several of these, all TSA confiscations and either battered like they'd been in a box of rocks or with someone trying to polish them up, which starts to polish out the seal. All but one I'd given away after further work on the scales around the seal to keep from degrading it further. Found a BNIB and snagged it at a reasonable price. This one goes into storage and I'll continue to use the other one periodically.

Nice one jalind!

I got the 3 LE Alox yesterday :D
They're supposed to be available as of 1st of May but I know the right people.

They're a bit darker and fruitier than my red OC but a bit brighter than the slightly darker newer red. (my Midshipman from yesterday is shown front and back next to the Pioneer for comparison).

I have a new found love of Cadets. For some reason I always dismissed them (probably my budget :D) but after carrying my smooth Alox ones I know they will be part of my rotation as soon as I'm done with my year :D

The damas and classics will also be available on the same day. Also the nespresso should come soon too and if I remember correctly will be a darkish blue. I don't drink coffee but I'm guessing after a quick search it will be Kazaar.

Second one looks just fine to me!

What I do under those circumstances is back off just enough until it focuses and then crop afterward. I use two cameras with one preferred over the other, and at the focal lengths I'm using there is a minimum focus distance. Most everything I post is cropped some.

Been thinking about some stayglow scales, but still on the fence.
