Just scored this sweet climber small. It came with a black classic and a bunch of other imperials and schrades for $15
Why do I never find these deals - Was it listed as such?
 - I guess not - Lucky deal - Well done
Those are highly desirable and I reckon usually go for top dollar !!

MiniChamp XL
Wow the elusive MiniChamp XL - Awesome
So starting to work through the list eh  ??

Hey - We don't have a pic of the XL in the Wiki - Can I steal yours please. That one above looks pretty good as is   :)
If OK - Let me know how/if you want the pic credited in the Wiki gallery.

If we need to discuss offline - Just PM me please

Sir Huntsman, no it was just labeled "pocket knife lot swiss, old timer etc"  or something like that.  You can find them, it just takes a little luck and a lot of time looking. There were only a few low quality pics so I was taking a bit of a chance. The clip point blade caught my eye, wasn't a 100% sure it was 84mm.  Looks like the scissor spring has been replaced with the newer version.

1 market find:

83mm Wenger Tahara Baker's Knife in stainless steel (last pic next to Victorinox's Baker's knife)

1 through mail:

Wenger Picnic

1 as a gift from the Geneva flagship store for their grand reopening. It's not a sak but it is a Victorinox knife :D They also had a watch encased in ice and you had to guess how long it will take for the ice to melt completely for a chance to win it.

3 back from the spa.

Victorinox Solo Alox in red OC scales with a bail. They swapped everything except the blade which they restored/polished.

Victorinox Soldier 91
I'm amazed by what they did with this guy. I asked them to restore the blade and the scales and also to restore or replace the awl... They actually replaced the scales with identical but new ones (color looks a bit off in the pic but it's the same) and also swapped out the blade for another identical but new 91!!! Liners were also damaged so they swapped those out too...

Victorinox Standard
They restored and polished both blades (small one's tip was broken I think) and slightly polished the scales. Even came back in a Victorinox pouch.

Yeah, I got that, but still, you have gathered such an amazing collection already that now you need/have to look for rarities like this! Enviable problem if you ask me. :)

My latest acquisition some of you may remember from an earlier thread about this knife that I started a few months back when it was listed on eBay for a ridiculous amount north of $300.  Well it never sold at that price (big surprise), but I kept my eye on it and the seller ultimately relisted it as a normal auction with no reserve.  I managed to snag it for significantly less than the original listing.

It's an old 84mm Golfer with clip blade instead of the opener.  There's advertising for "O. Weibel, Rapperswil," but no Vic shield on the scales.  It has the long nail file as well.  My quick search of the tang stamps (my first Armee Suisse marked knife!) narrows it to somewhere between 1943 and 1951.  It's in amazing condition.  All tools have great snap, and even the scales are largely devoid of any meaningful wear.  The only odd part is that the tips of the scissors will not come completely together.  When the scissors are closed one of the tips protrudes from the knife so far that I can catch my finger on it.  If I wind up carrying this knife I will probably get a leather sleeve for it to not only protect the knife from wear, but also to keep my fingers and the things in my pocket from catching on the exposed scissor tip.  I'm excited to be able to add this old beauty to my collection.
