Very nice NIB Professional Wengers! According catalog numbers on the boxes they should be:(Image removed from quote.)(Image removed from quote.)

Thanks for that!

It appears one of the two 1.71.11 is actually a 1.72.11 with the wrong box (or label)
(Image removed from quote.)
Tang stamps are :
1.72.11 : 87
1.71.11 : 88
1.72.51 : 81
1.72.31 : 87

Anyways... This isn't the thread for that :D here's the mail I opened up today :

Wenger Standard 1.01.00 with a fluted corkscrew and a "sharpened" nailfile
(Image removed from quote.)
(Image removed from quote.)
(Image removed from quote.)

Wenger Bike 36 - 1997 Tour de France - Étape Suisse : Fribourg (Swiss stage of the Tour de France in Fribourg) - New in pouch, if that's a thing :D
(Image removed from quote.)
(Image removed from quote.)
(Image removed from quote.)
(Image removed from quote.)

Nice knives  :tu:  As next you should buy some Light  :D  so we can better see your knives.  :pok:

Yeah I forgot to raise the light on that one... I like to use daylight when there's some even if I have to boost the light a bit in post :D

I reposted it somewhere else looking a bit better...

Got this Explorer in the mail yesterday.

I still need to send my Handyman in for warranty. I just don't get to it because then I have to miss my Handyman.
So I ordered a SAK to replace it during it's absence especially for that purpose.

This Explorer is in mo way special. My guess is somewhere between '90-'00 or something. I still have to date it.
The hook is kind of odd. It is more rounded than any other I have.

It does not seem to be altered or tampered with. My guess is this SAK is an 'airport security SAK'.
People buy them on holiday, the SAKs get confiscated at the airport. Then they end up in large crates that are sprayed with oil to prevent rusting. Then after some time the crates are auctioned and after some time they might end up at my doorstep.

The oil on this SAK was a thick orangey gunk. The factory oil (which is more yellow) could also be seen.
All the tools appear to be unused albeit a bit scratched on the outside of the tools. Same goes for the scales, they are scratched up.
Since these SAK (and other blades) are tossed into a bin this is no real surprise.

I've already given it a good cleaning and am now looking for proper scales. I'd really like plus scales on this one, otherwise I am going to miss the pen and pin. But that limits my colour options. I was thinking of yellow. Or perhaps green, camo, or desert camo.
But those colours are not available in plus scales. Choises, choises.  :ahhh

Mactire......Hunter Green scales are available in Plus scales, I put them on a Yeoman that had dinged scales.  They look good......should look good on an Explorer too.

Just got this in the mail. Grabbed from eBay.

111mm GAK.  I had been wanting a OHO Trekker with plain edge blade. This was cheaper ... and I think, cooler!

And, all cleaned up and oiled and ready for accompanying me to work tonight!

Lots of things this week...

Group shot of this week's arrivals (not including the BYSAKs I'm sourcing for some of you :D) with the addition of my precious bi-color Signature Jetsetter in the middle.

I'll list the Alox ones now and the rest tomorrow. And in case you're wondering, the bottom right and left funky ones are Solingen knives.

3 Soldiers:
Victorinox 76

Wenger 81

Elsener 66 (red)

Victorinox "Sentry" in red with bail (possibly actually called a "2071 r+" or a "Junior") with Elinox tang-stamp.

Victorinox Popular (I guess...) in blue with bail with Fischer tang-stamp.

Wenger Patriot (new in pouch) in blue with ad.

Victorinox Ambassador in black Alox with ad.

The 66 Soldier is very nice too.
