Major hawl this week. Here's awl of them:

Wenger Professional 1.71.21 with '82 tang-stamp

Wenger 91mm Vintage "Viking-like"  (1940-1952, I feel like this cap lifter could help pinpoint the year a bit better but couldn't find any info on it)

Wenger Esquire "Elle & Lui" (Her & Him)

Wenger Alinghi 176 - Got that one in its pouch for the outrageous price of : Free. (I have the extreme privilege of occasionally working with members of Alinghi, one of them was kind enough to offer me this knife  :ahhh )

Victorinox "Student-like" knife with semi-translucent plastic handles (not sure what) and "Victoria" tang-stamp

Victorinox Cadet II in teal smooth alox scales. Lovely clip-point small blade.

Victorinox Electrician in silver OC scales (modern)
Victorinox Electrician in silver OC scales (Elinox tang-stamp and wire-stripper cap-lifter)
Victorinox Pioneer (modern)
Victorinox Technician in red OC scales (Elinox tang-stamp and wire-stripper cap-lifter)
Victorinox Pioneer Pruner

Victorinox Pioneer Apprentice in silver OC scales

Victorinox Champion a (circa 1973 I think... some contradictory parts in there) - It comes back from the spa, it didn't have any scales left, its spacers were bent and the keyring hole was crushed. Paid only CHF 8.- at the market and another 5 to the spa for the repairs.

Elsener Soldier 1970 (restored at the spa... mirror-polished blade)

Wenger Soldier/Standard Issue 1973

Victorinox Tourist with vintage Swissair logo (pre-1973)

3 Victorinox Tomo - Blue, Red and Yellow

Good haul! :2tu:

Amazing SAks everyone! I was away on holiday for a couple of weeks and I missed a lot!

Just came back from a trip to Berlin. And I hunt down this little fellow.
I went to every gift-shop I could find but it was nowhere to be found.
So I had to travel to a gift-shop outisde of the city centre. I had seen it on their website at home, and didn't want to spend much time going there just for the SAK. But I'm glad I did.

Sorry for the crappy photo:

Classic SD with Berlin inlay

And I think I know why it was this hard to find one. I think it's old stock. As far as I know Victorinox does not do inlay scales anymore, just print. And the tangstamp has a 'small V' Victorinox logo. I still have to try and date it to be sure.
I wanted to take a picture of the SAK wogether with the Brandenburger Tor, but didn't get to it unfortunately.

I see a reason for you to go back to Berlin...  ;)

Indeed, I did plan on taking it with me on my next trip to Berlin.

And during my stay there I didn't take a vacation from a little SAK hunting. These arrived yesterday...

They might not seem like anything special. (Apart from my first 92mm Vic Alox).
I noticed two things:
- Engraving on the Alox (Pioneer?)
- Something on the black nylon scaled SAK...

First the Alox:

Victorinox Electrician

Turned out to be an Electrician. Very nice. In hindsight I payed a little more than I would have wanted, but the engraving made me want to get it.

And then the black nylon scaled SAK. If you look very carefully at the fist image you can see the corkscrew is gold.
In my experience that can mean only one thing: Michel Jordi. And that would probably make it a Spartan, a Climber if I'm lucky.
However, black nylon scales are no Edelweis scales and the keyring isn't gold plated either. But it tickled my curiosity.

Victorinox Climber Michel Jordi

I find this to be a very curious SAK. Why would you replace the scales on a Michel Jordi?  :ahhh I can imagine when they are damaged, apart from this the SAK does not show any signs of use.
There appears to be factory oil gummed up on the tools (dark yellow and sticky) like I have seen on other old-stock new in box SAKs. Yet the scales are replaced as well as the keyring. Was this perhaps a donor for another SAK?
I will probably never know!

Did you find the Michel Jordi on Marktplaats, from the seller in Purmerend?

I know. It gave me a chuckle and I had to get it.
And the worst of all is that I didn't really care for alox (I have several 84mm and 74mm) but now I have this one I think I'm hooked...

Thank you all for the nice comments on my XXLT.
The only other knife that came while I was out of town was this SwissAir knife, an 84mm Tourist.  I have no other knives inbound at this time.

This is the knife that led me to this site, a  Dutch Navy KM87 Soldier. Found it in a recent TSA auction lot.

Very nice, and quite rare!

The person who it was taken from by TSA must really feel bad, having lost this precious!
