This is the knife that led me to this site, a  Dutch Navy KM87 Soldier. Found it in a recent TSA auction lot.

Very nice, and quite rare!

The person who it was taken from by TSA must really feel bad, having lost this precious!

That is so true. Last week I was telling my wife how sad it must be for someone to have to give up a knife they love, especially if it was a gift from their father or a dear friend.

Thank you all for the nice comments on my XXLT.
The only other knife that came while I was out of town was this SwissAir knife, an 84mm Tourist.  I have no other knives inbound at this time.

Cool SAK FB! :like: :tu: :tu:

Really?

Gorgeous XXLT and that NiB Swissair is quite a catch! Congrats!
I have a few Vics like that and at least 1 Wenger Swissair too as well as another couple of vintage Swissair ones too. I just can't resist them!

At the time of writing that, I hadn't yet discovered that another one arrived!

Aah! I didn't look at the timestamps !

I think they really nailed that engraving. I picked that font but the location and depth are really cool ^^ I was hoping you'd like that ^^

Went out to a flea market today, 2 scores. A 1986 Soldier with the larger sharpened bottle opener and a Safari Trooper, with the guard on the saw/combo tool. Both are gunked up and the snap is gone, have them both soaking in hot water with Dawn dish soap. Pictures to follow after I have cleaned them up.

A little update,
I dropped these off to a pair of very happy kids yesterday (9 +13)
I gave my 'safe knife talk'  which includes 'the circle of blood' and the 'triangle of death'   >:D
And as I was driving away listening to the sounds coming from his house I was thinking the whistles might have been a mistake

Brass with forced patina... I didn’t make the scales myself... the maker also did the carvings for an apocalyptic look...
