Just found this gem... I believe this would be classified as the fabled Champion A.   I've never had a long file before.... nor a blank fish scaler.

Check and Check.  :tu:

Very nice Dan - lucky you!  :like:

Picked up a couple of 111mm RAF Hunters yesterday. Been cleaning them up today.
Looking good FB :like: :like: :tu:

Thanks Ws they're unused but been sitting in a draw unboxed so they're a bit scuffed. That said the blade and scale markings are right and I know the provenance so I'm pleased to have found them  :tu:

My latest SAK is nothing special, just an ordinary Wenger Ranger from the -now defunct- Basel-Landschaft Hafenpolizei. They're al over the place for sometime at Ebay, isn't it...? :D

Apparently now there are two of these in the Netherlands

(Image removed from quote.)

And the seller told me only three were made!

Glenf, I am so sorry I missed your posting regarding this Hafenpolizei Messer. Good find!! :salute:
I don't know how many of these knives have been made, but I do know it was a very small police unit, I think maybe only 10 officers.
I got mine from one of their officers, named Theo. Unfortunately afew years ago he died one week after his retirement at 60 years old. Apart from being a very, very nice fellow, he also was a knife aficionado and he had great knowledge about firearms and ammunition. In fact he started my love for Swiss knives.

Sad to hear he didn't get to enjoy his retirement. You hear stories like this way too much, people work hard their entire life and when they finally retire and should be able to do nice things like enjoying family or travelling around the world or whatever they want, something bad happens  :(

Very nice!  Hardwood SAKs are very appealing. My first hardwood acquisition was a Swiss Champ.  I have two others but can't remember the models.

Congratulations!
