:hatsoff:  Thanks, my 1st SAK was a small Fieldmaster (Craftsman, Artisan) and it was ridden hard and put away wet.  So I have a fondness for the Fieldmaster myself.  Still have it and will rebuild it some day and then carry it.

Great collection you have there Boonies... :like:

My 235U isn’t exactly class A collector material... The previous owner must have used it to practice grinding the edge on a belt grinder... And a poor grind at that... the flat sd tip on the can opener is partly chipped as well...

Figured since I got it cheap (USD13), it would be nice to have as visual representation...

Well, they’re certainly not making any more of them so even those with “custom features” are still special.   :hatsoff:

Sometimes it’s nice to pick up (and use) one of these old ones that isn’t pristine......not to worry about a tiny scratch.  Just to get the feel of history.......
Enjoy it.............

Basically I use a rolling pin and a hardwood base with a small piece of wood to raise up the tang of the blade.  The outside curve of the bend is up against the rolling pin.  Roll the pin up onto the blade applying pressure.  You can vary the thickness of the small piece of wood for more “reverse bend”.  Just kind of work the rolling pin back and forth, it does take a bit of pressure on the rolling pin.

No guarantees, but I have been much more sucessful with this than other methods.  Sharp bends have probably already micro-fractured the metal so not likely sucessful there.  Have fun....
It worked out very nicely! Thanks for the tip!  :like:

Just took them

Actually one of the 111mm seems a trailmaster but with sidelock and "eyed" reamer. Can it be? I can't find any info about it.

Bugnarb sold a Rucksack with a Phillips instead of a Cork screw. I've always wanted one but they're not easy to find in the US.
Jeep the SAK of the auto world or is it SAK the Jeep of the Knife world?

Unfortunately he still has only one pruner and 2 sentinel plus (if I am now wrong), otherwise I could have bought one and shipped to you.
If I see another one around I will let you know

The model with slide lock was known as Trekker. It lives on with liner lock as One Hand Trekker, Soldier, and Trailmaster.

Bought this silver tech Huntsman today on a whim, the store was selling them with a huge discount, it was like 43€ price tag, bought it for 20€  :woohoo:

Not very usual of me to buy something other than classic red, but i kind of like this one. This scales feel different than the normal ones, more solid for sure  :tu:

Nice!

My first 91mm was a Silvertech Deluxe Tinker. Unfortunately, it only maintained those scales for a few months, as a couple of unplanned journeys to the floor, revealed them to be quite brittle.  :-[ I hope your lasts a little longer  :D

Now i am a bit confused.  ???
Is it a trekker or a special Rucksack? The wikisak page is not really helpful here, as i don't see anything about the trakker with slidelock (there is just this: An earlier version, probably marketed as the Trailmaster, had red nylon scales with a slide lock.)

I guess it´s a Trekker because the Rucksack has a corkscrew instead of the Phillips.

IIRC The Trekker vs Trailmaster confusion originated because of a Cold Steel knife named Trailmaster causing Vx to ditch the name. At least temporarily / locally.
