I've been MIA due to career commitments lately, and have made do with a simple 84mm apprentice in my pocket for the last 6 months or so...

......And then I stumbled across pic related NiB and just had to have it (I have an obsession with red alox)  :ahhh

Bought an older Champion with long nail file that arrived yesterday.  She'll need a little cleaning.

True.  It is a little lighter in color than my camera shows, but yes older ones were a tad deeper red.

Not sure why Vic moved away from this awl  :dunno:.  Its really super sexy and much better than the one on the backside now.  The "cutout" makes a lot of sense much like Wengers awl cutout.

Looks great, I almost got one but the seller had the price firmly in the "well-kept" territory, with no pictures accurate enough to verify, in fact they didn't even guarantee it as genuine, I had to assess that from rather poor pictures.

Unfortunately it seemed that they got offended by the request for more pics and my low initial offer, but fact is that I've bought some knives that were in definite user condition that were described to be in good or excellent condition, so I won't go higher than an user price without very good pictures or personal inspection, luckily I got the first one of "good" these knives at an user price so I learned and haven't been disappointed compared to price yet.

That's a very nice color on the classic.

My latest SAK is a Cybertool 41, but I actually forgot to take pics as it was so roughed up I decided it was finally time to try warranty services, the pliers having the classic bend and scales were in rough shape.

Along with it went a Swisstool with a broken lock and my Matterhorn with broken scales and some bent liners.

Pliers perhaps won't be covered, but they said it'll cost15€ at most for tool replacement, that still keeps my total reasonable, especially as a Cybertool 41 is one of my more sought after models.

They do repairs locally in Finland by the way, guess shipping is expensive even for companies from the Nordics.
Well, at least they should be done faster.  :woohoo:

So, now I'm waiting to hear how much it'll cost to get my tools back all pretty and nice, shipping back is the minimum cost.
