A mountaineer! Gonna be my EDC after cleaning and lubing and giving it the love it deserves (which apprently the previous owner did not provide  )

The thing is, I bought this last night and the seller said that this was one of the confiscated knives/tools at the airport. So, I felt kinda... weird. I kept seeing that pad-locked barrel with a small opening on its lid, right next to the X-ray machine at the airport control gates. I always wondered what tools might be sitting in it, waiting to be played and maybe even sold by the authorities... And now I feel like I inherited a dead person's item or something, something I am not entitled to or something I do not have the right to have... Dunno. I'm not a superstitious person and hope I'm not gonna feel this way tomorrow hehe.

A small small section of the scale is broken on one end, for now I like the way it is. Used and having seen some action...  :climber:

Yeah, small dents and cracks are just okay, I've a few with those and don't really need to replace them, though I did get new ones for my SwissChamp as they were extremely cheap in the Warsaw Showroom (should have asked to buy spares) and I gained the pin slot.

My CT41 I did sent to be repaired though, as it had large pieces missing and one exposed half the pen, so it could easily catch and bend.

Also had to send in my Matterhorn Plus, while Wenger scales do hide the scale tool tips looking from the side it seems to have a significant drawback in that if the scales become even marginally loose or cracked, which is already easier than in Victorinox due to them surrounding the liner, the tiny heads of the tools easily fall into the scales making them very hard or even impossible to retrieve properly.

NIB? Well, it is kinda in an original packaging :P
'51 Soldier, but it looks like it was issued in 2018...

I actually wanted to buy a Nikon 4x monocle. Then I picked up a 6x from Vixen (Japan) and the optics was simply on another level... So, I went through the offerings by Vixen and settled on this really small 6x binoculars. Very nice... would recommend :tu:

Pretty much... except for the mailing part. Bought it at a flea-market about 300m from the Vic store, so I brought it in for some TLC, today I picked it up at the store.

Basically, it was in very good shape when I got it, but as it is common, the scales were coming loose a bit, so they tidied that up and gave it a good polish.
