Nice work! I like the Torx screws in lieu of rivets. Kudos!

Some more.  :salute:

Harvester - Red (no keyring)

Settler - Red (keyring)

If I knew you were going to make them look that good I'd have charged you more!  :D How is the settler holding up; did it just need a little oil?

93mm blue Alox Deluxe Tinker for me to carry for a few months before I decide if I want to sell it. After a few weeks I think it's a keeper but I'll probably build myself another just like it on my red old cross scales. It costs $160 just to get the parts together for this one. I took the time to reshape and repolish the springs for the scissors and everything works and snaps like it came from the factory.

<image>[url:http://i289.photobucket.com/albums/ll227/bushidomosquito/Blue%20Alox%2093%20Deluxe%20Tinker/P4092030.jpg]knife-closed[/url]<image>

That's a great mod.  I saw another Alox with Pliers a while back and they do look great.  I like the scissors pivoting on the top end as well, that has always been my preference.  I'd be interested in this mod, especially in red, black, or HA.

I think the best way to make it available is to let people who want it track down and send me the knives and charge only $50 for the labor of fitting everything together if I get to keep the extra parts. That's 2 extra pairs of scales to hard anodize and leftover bits from a Swiss Champ that I can use so it's worth something to me.

BTW, I'm up at 5am putting the finishing polish on the second TiYeoman scale.   :D

Just ordered this Swiss Army Watch, Cat. No. 24221. I think it's discontinued, as I don't see it on swissarmy.com.

It'll probably get here before the Yeoman from Canada.

Ok, I'm done with dairy. If the process of paying for them was like that I suspect I would own a lot more Victorinox knives. I might need to rent a storage unit for them.

My Maxped Micro EDC organizer came today, and I used it to revise and make my EDC FAK fit into a smaller space.  I ordered a Wenger EvoGrip 81 to put in it for the scissors and blade.  I figured having those two tools would be just right for an EDC FAK.

Oh, sorry... First Aid Kit.  I've got two kids, so I pretty much always need band-aids and antiseptic wipes on me at all times.

perfectly ok if used at work or while partaking in a hobby; say owning and running a boat for example. ;)

 Who me?  :D

I'm happy with the fact that you don't have to put your finger/s under the blade to unlock it like on liner locks and back locks, but yeah I'd still prefer it as a slippy. That might be a project for me at some point in the future, as the back spring is perfectly fine without the lock. Might even get away with just jamming it / gluing it open

OK I'm definitely getting rid of that lock when time permits.
Thanks to that lock I've just nearly stabbed myself in the foot  >:(

I'm certain Neil's disabled the slide lock before and he did indeed confirm that the backspring is still OK to hold the blade well.

Try not to stab yourself in the foot mate, I'm told it might be sore. :-\

It is now a slippy  :D

Pop off the scale, remove the slide button, replace the scale - job done. Just need to make a blanking piece for it instead. The foot thing was a close call. Thought I'd disabled the lock and  pushed the whole knife out of my hand. No shoes on either  :ahhh :ahhh

I keep saying locks are more dangerous than slippies but no one believes me  :P
