I recently got this Wenger Traveler Europa (1.92.14) which has a nice color and special emblem.  Apparantly this model was from the Europe series which was part of the Wenger Star line.  I don't have any date information on these yet. Judging from the packaging, it was not that long ago.

(Image removed from quote.)

The Europa series includes 6 blade (Commander) and 7 blade (Traveler) knives with plastic handles. There is also a 7 blade version with smooth blue aluminum handles  (#1.92.16), similar to the ones in the Dynasty series. The plastic and aluminum versions look identical; only way to tell them apart is by feel and weight. There is also an Esquire version. Star Series was apparently a name Wenger used in Europe at one time for its fancy versions, including the Europas, Dynasties, and Savannas. I don't have a precise date for them, but about 2000.

Hey, I think I was lucky!
Just found today in a local shop the aluminum version!
despite having only three layers of tools, the knife is quite heavy.

It's not aluminium, but still interesting. The seller has a bunch of mislabelled SAKs selling for peanuts.

Got another Tiffany Classic
that looks awesome all beat up, how much do they go for roughly?

It actually looks a lot better than in the picture, especially now I have cleaned it. They can also be polished so as to look like new. They are like standard silverware really.

Price depends on condition and whether it has the original keychain and box etc.
If you wait you should be able to get one for under $50 but most seem to go at around 80-100, plus shipping.

Its cool to see one of these that has been used!  I think it looks

How do you tell the difference between a Tiffany classic and one of the sterling ones?  Are they marked?

There is a knife guy at a flea market near here that has several of the sterling classics for ~$60.  I'm always tempted by them, but don't really have that kind of $ for shelf queens...

Another Beauty... and it's not even black...

A Stainless Steel Champion - Special Edition for the EBEL watch company.  Apparantly from 1984, which sounds about right, but I could not confirm the date yet.

Agree,  :D (Image removed from quote.)

OK I have this one additional picture already made.  As for gold in the grooves... well that's a good question.  It looks like gold, and it would fit the purpose of this SE as the scale design follows the classic EBEL wave bracelets... but there is no halmark which also is not a definitive negative sign since it is only for accents and not the base.

Adding one more:

One more since people seem to really like this one.  Maybe Vic will start doing metal scales on 91mm; it does weigh in at about 210g.  Keeping a nice knife in a pouch is a good idea.

Does this count?   It IS actual Swiss Army issue, and it's even a Wenger!  :tu:  Bayonet for the Stgw 57, shown with a Vic Compact for size comparison.  Got it today, along with the scabbard and frog.

Thanks, didn't know they were marked.  The .925 is sterling.  Wonder what the 750 stands for?

750 tends to mean 18ct gold... there are various number systems in place from different places.

Of course, a woman would know what 750 means...

I assume it refers to the gold used for the emblem.

Does this count ..... It is Swiss And it is Army .... it is a type of knife :)

Picked this up today its the bayonet version of the Faschinenmesser for the artillery ,designed for cutting twigs and willow to build field fortifications.... I have seen many where the bayonet attachment has been blocked up as huge saw back bayonets were considered a tad unsporting :)

The tip is quite heavy and broad and I would imagine would make short work of twigs :)

Oh and for scale :)

44 stamped on frog but that sounds about right to me it looks pretty much unused

It has nothing to do with gender I assure you.

@Jaydar - Very nice!  :tu:  I posted my Stgw 57 bayonet before, sure it counts as a Swiss Army issue knifelike tool!  Is that for the Schmidt-Rubin, or is it later issue?
