I just snagged an Aitor Gran Montenero, and I must say I quite enjoy the size of this knife compared to Victorinox or Wenger. It's big and beefy and yet not imposing like the 120 or 130mm Victorinox. It's a big goofy pocket knife. Yes, that describes it exactly. I love the wooden scales too, they feel really good in my hand. Tool snap isn't the greatest, especially for the nail file and awl, but it's quite livable. I like this thing, it's fun to carry, and I can see it being of good use for camping.  I kinda want to find a few more Aitor knives. There's a really cool gardening version with fold-out pruning shears, which would be nice to have on hikes to trim branches and thorns across the path... or even just through the neighborhood, to trim back stuff that neighbors allow to encroach over the sidewalk.

Aitor shown to scale next to Wenger Swiss Buck (85mm)

Charles.

Today was a good day. I got in a NIB 1991 SwissChamp.

I also got in a new Vic Explorer. Well, not all that new. I bought it new from Amazon, but apparently they’re still working through all their old stock of plastic magnifiers.
