Here's a better shot of the Wenger Ranger with dark green handles, compared with the common black handles. Against a natural stone background the difference is pretty obvious. On a wood background it's harder to tell them apart.

Looks Great, I really like the dark green Ranger scales.  I don't think I've seen them before.

I picked up two different Rangers with the green handles from a German dealer many years back. Don't know if they were a German-only item or what. It may have been ToolShop, who at one time carried a number of Wengers I couldn't find anywhere else.

For cutting cheese... it's the army issue, versus the civilian, horn scaled 111mm version. :P

I picked up a yellow Wenger Evogrip 18 today.

Initial thoughts are that it's a good SAK. The size is good - about the same as the Victorinox Huntsman, and fractionaly shorter, but really not that much. I was a little surprised with the scissors - I wasn't expecting both sides of the scissors to move when cutting, as I'm used to the Victorinox ones where one side is fixed; I guess it's how they are designed. The saw is ok, and doesn't add too much width compared with an Evogrip 14 that's very similar but without the saw.

Overall I'm very please with it. The only problem was that they had some Rangers as well, and I now want a Ranger 55! I might have bought one, but they only had it in the Realtree AP Blaze - if it had been black, or even plain orange (Wenger, are you listening?), I'd probably have bought it!

edit: here's a couple of pics of the Evogrip 18:

Crummy econo-boxes. Is there room in that for your SAK purchases?
