Bought this little SD Classic last week to match my other items. Yellow is definitely my new favorite color.

Finally scored a Voyageur. AND it's an early one with cap lifter and Elinox blade...   that's the good news.

Unfortunately it's probably worth every penny of the $20 I paid for it.

It's a shame the scissors are broken but that's still a good looking SAK.  It should clean up pretty good.  A little soap and warm water with a stiff bristle brush will clean up most if not all of it.  I would then try a metal polish all over and see how it looks after that.

Are you going to try and replace the scissors?

Yes. I have Scissors to fit, they came from a small climber with broken backspring. I could just replace the missing half, but then I'd still have to source a single sided spring. Might end up drilling out the rivet and replacing the scissors whole. I don't think I have a main blade with the correct tang stamp is the major issue.
It's in the mail so I'll wait until it arrives to assess the best option for refurbishment.

Ranger...I am really liking this so far.  Has most of what I need in a SAK and very pocketable.

Here's my newest. And I feel like a complete moron for not having thought of this one sooner. My favourite tools on a SAK are the pliers, the fish scaler/hook disgorger, and the scissors (not necessarily in that order). And this one, the Angler, has two of those three in a slim package. I think there was a model of the fisherman that had both the scissors and the pliers but I don't think they make those anymore. Perhaps someone can correct me if I'm wrong about that. But I absolutely love this thing. Now to try to find one with scissors!

I have one with the scissors and no pliers.  I think.  Might have to dig it out later.  I saw one on FleaBay.  It was listed as a Victorinox Fisherman Pocket Tactical Knife.   Only $18.
Sounds like a decent deal, right.  Only thing is the SAK in the photo is a Wenger.  It isn't any sort of fishing knife (and Wenger made a bunch of different ones).  Also the Tactical label is laughable.  Everything has to be tactical.  Probably a tactical toothbrush out there somewhere.  It is at least a knife.  Something like a Wenger Traveler.  Hard to tell if it has a corkscrew or not.
Is a scuffed up Wenger Traveler ( or the near equivalent) worth $18.  From a user's standpoint, I think it is.  Nice usable knife.  Lots of utility.  Not too big.  Sure, you could take it fishing.  Put it right in your tactical.... I mean tackle box.  A collector would probably yawn at the deal.  Best wishes.  G

Yes definitely! My pockets are always full haha, always useful though!
I'll switch this out occasionally with my swiss champ. I'll probably throw in another as my 'main blade' like a spartan or my favourite, the explorer!

Not really a Swiss knife, but a manual for the Victorinox 58mm Scribe. The other day I bought an NIB Traveller and got this small manual for free.
Note the "Patent Pending" remark.
I haven't yet enciphered the product date codes of Victorinox.

Second printing.  Jan 9, 2009?  Just a guess.
Here are my last two SAKs.  Both Bantams.  Both gifts from MTo members.  I won't name them since they might get embarrassed.  Both much appreciated.  Best wishes.  Gary

Yes. I like that one...a lot.

I have a few variations of these :

watchmakers.jpg
* watchmakers.jpg (Filesize: 162.54 KB)

The two blue are Wenger, the middle red one ("Quo Vadis") is Elinox+vssr stamped
The bottom two are Victorinox vssr ("Rado") and Vssr ("Ogival") stamped

If you don't mind the quite high shipping costs (overseas), I wouldn't mind letting go the "Ogival of Switzerland" one (I bought it ~15€ back in 2018)

This is my first 108mm. It's a pretty cool model, but I wish it had the scale tools! I wanna try to carry it around for a bit to replace the alox model I normally carry. I'm editing this to add that it didn't have the saw-cover thingy and I was wondering if anyone knew where I could possibly get one of those.

I have one just like it.  Right over here...... Somewhere........?  It's gone!  You rascal.  Sneaked in while I was trying to fix my lawnmower and filched it.  Why, I ought to.....
Wait a minute.  I found mine on my dresser.  Whew!  I was about to get agitated.  Be careful if you try to use that screwdriver.  The saw blade will close on your fingers in a jiffy.  You will wind up turning your Hittite pages with bandaged fingers.  I got more bites from the saw than from all the other tools combined.  Best wishes.  G

A manual for the Victorinox 58mm Scribe.
:like: Ephemera is just as cool as the knives!

I won't name them since they might get embarrassed.
You need not worry about embarrassing me. I aim to do a little more giving, and I firmly believe everyone should try an Alox Bantam. Buying seven or eight billion of them is untenable. But I pick up extras so that established MTo members in good standing who are open to trying one can do so. If I have the money, I'll put it where my mouth is.

Glad you're enjoying it!

I'll give it some thought. And that collection... :like:

I have no idea, but I hope you're able to scare one up. Eventually I hope to try out a 108mm saw.
