what distinguishes the older huntsman? a long file? (SAKwiki was not clear on this, there are so many variations on this model). Cool photos.

The scissors pivot around the bottom pin so there's no long nail file I think

Great pic!

Well, their GAKs. I found someone selling them fairly cheap, I figure buy two, and part out one of them.

OK, a GAK and a half. I'm not too happy with the order. They show nail files and specifically state that not only are all knives going to have files, that all will be Vics. So the Vic has no file; the CCM has no combo tool.  Needless to say, I need to make a phone call to see if the return label also covers return postage- if not, it's a parts pile. Does anyone know if liners and bushings will cross pollinate with the real thing?

And just to show relative saw lengths, a Huntsman, a 108GAK, and a OHT (111GAK in civvies :P )- no reason, just because I can I guess.

The older Huntsman don't have a hook, and the hook was added in '91 (again thanks to Neil)..

yep, it's official.  These pictures are why I keep buying tools!
Sorry..  :P :D

Its an unusual stainless steel classic by Victorinox with a brushed type finish. I have never seen this exact type of SS finish before on a Vic Classic. Any ideas?

Variation #2 in Broker.  Picked one up a couple  years ago, they don't seem that common.

I think this is the same one:

We could do with knowing where they came from so as to avoid. A quick note in the feedback section might be an idea.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.

An all black Trailmaster. I`ve put olive scales on it, now it matches the case.
Wow, simply an amazing color combination.

Hi Stessmaster,
would you have any info on this knife.
I have one like it but i can't find any info on the company it has been made for. I though it might have been an advertising for an airline  ???

I saw yours. I have yet to identify who the eagle logo belongs to or who might have had this run made.

bought a Wenger Ranger today, something I've always thought looked really cool, I saw them for a reasonable price in a shop, so bought one. This one has the same tool layout as a vic new soldier. Quite a powerful solid knife, the blade and saw are enormous. Though I wish they'd supply a sheath instead of the ornamental box.

OK, they've had two business days to reply. The sinner in question was NOT an MTO member, but everyone's favorite (?) purveyor of cheap knives, BudK.
