BAH!!!

I just got a horn scaled Wenger in today, which I had led to believe had scissors (Traveller) but it doesn't! I spoke to the seller who said it's the last one ... there are no scissor models. I now need to decide whether to keep it (with a discount) or send it back for a refund

Well, I just got offered a 50% discount if I keep it - so it looks like it's here to stay. I also received an Iron Grip and Ranger 14 in the same package and I'm now going to go pour a glass of wine and play with 'em  :D

Sounds like you're doing very well! Some great items. That Iron Grip is rare.  :tu:

I'm sorry, the serrations are just too much for me.  I'd still like to hear a valid answer someday on how to keep them sharp.

Easiest way I've found to get serrations back properly sharp is lay the back edge of the blade flat on a fine stone. That way you'll work the entire profile of the serration - harder work if the back edge is concave though  You're also a bit more limited as to how many times you can do this compared with a plain edge  :P

My latest SAK(ish) things are a couple of 8GB SlimFlash USB drives.

I'll be breaking one down to use the drive in a Monster58 and will use the scales from that one to build myself an Alox Rambler. The other one... not sure what to do with it yet.

I'm almost afraid to ask - What is that?

I asked exactly the same question when I saw it.
So I asked a good friend in Switzerland who replied with the info below:

----------
"This knife was made in 2006 for a brocante, flea market which takes place twice a year in the town of Aarberg"
----------

The knife is signed by the artist M.S Bastian (2006) on the back scale.
I did a bit of research myself and found the artist in question.

M.S Bastian

Aarberg Switzerland

I just liked the artwork.  :)

Hope that helps.  :salute:
