Yeah, 4 layers ended up being too much for me (I think 3 may be my limit), but I really like my Explorer, so I figured I'd try a clip.  Thankfully it works great for me :tu:  I'm not a belt sheath person though.

Me too, never could get used to belt sheaths, there is a horizontal carry one by Vic I would like to try though. Without, 4 layers is about my limit, except the Vic Ranger, which is a tiny bit slimmer than my Deluxe Climber, which is my 4 layer maximum at this point. Carried an Explorer Plus for years and loved it, agree with you there! :tu:

I love the Explorer and always considered a 3 layer my limit but because of my love for the Explorer and having the mag glass and inline philips, I purchased the P-7 clip and found it the only way I can handle carrying it.  It works very well and I have carried the Explorer only for about 2-3 weeks without it bugging me on the clip.  No way I can carry it just in my pocket. :D

(Image removed from quote.)

Same here.  That's why I want a Yeoman really.  It adds the mag/phillips layer to the Compact (another excellent SAK) to make the perfect SAK for me (in cellidor scales anyway ;))  Someday I hope to have someone take my Compact and Explorer and create my Yeoman (with a Climber with the left overs :tu:)

Yeah, too bad the Yeoman's are hard to find! I wouldnt mind one either. :D

Yeah I know.  I wish I could have been into SAKs back whenever they were sold.  Fortunately I have the SAKs needed to sacrifice for the parts needed to make a Yeoman :D  All I need is the spare cash to pay someone to do the job, so it will probably happen eventually.  I just need to be patient :P :ahhh

Does that have a lock on the main blade?

Just built a blue alox Drifter w/ USB (you know me and USB). Very sweet little knife...that and a Mechanic may be a terminal EDC for me.

just got a tinker combo set in the mail last night. got it as a less intimidating alternative to my skeletool/wingman when i go to certain events. the blade size is very comparable. ive had a few knock offs when i was younger, but none have come close to the authentic quality.

Bought a few used Vics. I wanted to use them as donor-knives, but after the clean-up I decided to keep them in one piece...

One of our salespeople was in the store today, and she had a Recruit advertising knife new in the box she gave to me.  No T&T, crossbow on the tang, still has oil on the blades and tools.  :tu:

Actually, it was a bit more than "a" Recruit....  :ahhh  :D

Missing my S557 already.  /sniff   Wonder what would make for a great Wenger secondary... wished EvoWood was a bit cheaper, could get another. Any sales going on anywhere?  :D

For all of you?  Um, no.  :P  Five of them was pretty damn generous of her though, especially since they've been sitting around in those boxes for a while.  That product line advertised on those knives hasn't been sold with that labeling in quite some time.  Everyone will get a shot at one (maybe two) very soon, I assure you....  ;)
