I found an Explorer in very good condition today at a flea market. It's soaking in soapy hot water right now.

For me these Huntsman SAKs were a bigger failure than the new lockback. Others were a bit more lucky and got better ones. Mine were junk.

Neat knife! Didn't even have that in my notes.

Just checking, and 38 is used for another model. Error or ?

Thank you Marius, I have not seen your post before. Mine is a little better than those in your pictures, the T&T are really difficult to come out as you mention, there is no space between the scale and the liners, but the scales are a little oversized comparing with the liners. I will post some pictures later, but is not so bad that would make me return it.  :tu:

i just received my alox farmer and all i can say is wow.  i get it now, i totally understand what the fuss is.  i cant begin to imagine what it must be like to have a rare or highly sought after one.  i really love the feel of this SAK, i mean literaly love the feel of the aluminum scales.  the weight caught me off guard when i opened the box, it felt substantial tho not heavy and the smoothness was very nice in my hand.  i am so glad i went a head and ordered one.  ive been quite busy with work and havent put this SAK into my rotation sadly.  i work tomorrow then im off so i will pocket it all day.  im pretty excited knowing what a attractive SAK i now have.  so thank you for such a wonderful site that has introduced me to such treasures.

Nice, glad you like it.  I had a similar reaction to my first Alox SAK.  Looking at them online, I initially didn't think they were anything special, but figured I'd get one just to have one.  Well, that changed once I had it in my hand.  My first was the Electrician, and later I got a Pioneer, which I carry every day.  It's a pocketable SAK that is durable and handy.  They're fun to open and close too with that solid snap :tu:

You wouldn't believe how much that annoys my other half. She shouts up to the third floor asking why I need to open them all the time.

Aloha the 84mm Alox Cadet it equally impressive. I keep a Solo 93mm in the kitchen draw which gives me every excuse I need to use it daily. I also ended up hiding all the other bottle openers.

So glad it made it!  Better late than never.  I was starting to wonder if german customs had seized it for being too nice to deliver... :D

Congratulations Aloha! Alox are really cool, it was one of my first SAKs, my father gave me a soldier 94 when I was young, and has been one of my favorites together with the Wenger Seafarer that I also got from him...  :tu:

Now prepare your wallet for the limited editions!
