Nice man !!  Okay need some info and pic's  " please " of the one with the pliers

What would you like to know?  I can post more pics of the Alox one specifically later tonight.  Oh and the fish scaler on my Cellidor mod (YeoChamp :D) can be used as a little fork (I did this yesterday and it worked well) and a ruler.  I have no use for it's actual designed purpose, but it seems like it could be a versatile tool for various functions, depending on the situation and your imagination.

That's a good use as well :tu:  I think it can/will be more useful than I originally thought when I first saw one on here.  I don't fish and therefore have no use for a fish scaler, but I bet many uses can be discovered for it.

IMHO the most useful thing about the fish scaler is that it is not sharp. It's a great little probe for... uhm... probing. And prodding, and fiddlystuff, fishing small screws out of tight spots and stuff like that. Anything else on a SAK can damage e.g. textiles around it, or catch onto them.

That is true, and something I liked about it originally.  It just seems like a good "misc. uses" type of tool :tu:

It seems crazy, but I think I might include the fishscaler on an alox build too.  Its a very thin layer (0.060"), thinner than the saw, and there are times when I need a small measuring tool or dull poker.  I think I would put it in the same layer with the metal saw and replace the wood saw layer in a farmer with that pair.

That sounds like a good idea :tu:  I'm glad I decided to give the fish scaler a shot because it is a good, unique tool.  It does work as a mini fork too ;)  Definitely better than having a wood saw as I already usually have one of those on my MT.  I'd rather have something unique and versatile for misc. uses than something I only would use once in a while, and that would be on my MT anyway.  I know I would like the Farmer better with that layer instead of the saw.  That's one of the reasons I never cared to get a Farmer really.

Just got back from running to the hardware store for work. I found an Alox Cadet without a box for $9.99. They had a stack of Recruits for $11.99, I'm thinking about running back after work.

Nice price on the cadet.  I think recruits are great little knives too.  My favorite of the regular 84s though is the small tinker.  I love those little things.

An 84mm Tinker with a clip point blade and aluminum tweezers. You can always use another small Tinker!

My first love in SAKs was and is still the Tinker.  For many years one was my only SAK, and nowadays even with a slightly ( ::)) expanded collection, my Tinker still sees a lot of pocket time.  On Monday a package arrived from Sazabi, and in it was a NIB 84mm Tinker.  :)  Love it!  It's been in my pocket every day this week.  It's at the bottom of the pic with its bigger brother.

There's no such thing as "Too pretty to carry".  There's only "Too pretty NOT to carry"...... >:D

I love the small Tinker and carried one for over 25 years but it doesnt work so well now.  I think the springs are broken so it has alot of play and dont feel safe using it.

It was my first sak and my only sak up til a just a few years ago! :D
