The store was a small mom and pop operation that got bought out by Ace Hardware a few months back. I guess Ace wants to be more "family friendly" so they clearanced the entire knife display.

:tu:  Great!  maybe I need to have one of the resident modders make me one with the slim USB.  I have a Slim USB on my keychain now; it was a gift, but I' sure they would not mind if it was modded into a super keychain tool.

A nice grab for $5. Which one did you get? http://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Wenger+Snife+Series

My first ever SAK was a Snife Waves. They are colored though and the color wears off pretty easily.

Just in from Germany. A limited edition Wenger Golfer with green sharkskin inlays in the handle. Been looking at it off and on for several years and finally broke down and ordered it out. Rather pricey, but I justified it by saying I'd missed out on so many things on ebay recently...  :D

I am not sure, it's part of their mountain climbing sport knifes(built in clip, saw, serrated blade to cut rope) so maybe they figure no one needs to be drinking wine on the side of a mountain :drink:. My biggest problem with most Wenger knifes is the can opener can't be used as a philip driver so thats limits me to a small number of models that Wenger offers that has a in-line philips this one and the less pocket friendly S557. I like it so far the back philps should be useful with recessed screws and the shorter in-line for most of the others.  It evens has a people friendly small blade to use in public opening boxes and whatnot.

I got a really cool gift from the Netherlands today!

Jan contacted me and offered to send me some old alox that need some TLC, and I was very excited to get these goodies!

Thanks Jan for the extremely generous gift!   :tu:

I gotta restore the broken marlinspike on the sailer.  I think a Ti one would be unique.

This is the first time Ive had a technician driver, and small clipoint as well.

Cheers!  :D

A cyber tool driver with a magnifier, combo tool, large and small blade. No backside tools. That's what I've been thinking. There was one posted here not sure the tool load out but I think it was 4 layers. That's as big as I would go.

Alox or Cellidor?  Would you be doing it yourself?  I would love to get into modding, but I bet it would be rather addicting in its own way... :ahhh
