I recently received a NIB BSA Huntsman Wood Badge edition that has the log and axe on the back scale but doesn't have the BSA logo on the front. The box is clearly marked BSA. Any theories? Factory error? Someone replace the scale? Any idea where to find a replacement scale?

My Wood Badge Huntsman has the log-and-axe logo on the front; the Victorinox shield on the back; and no BSA logos anywhere. Apparently the design varied over time.

Same here. The vendor said the newer models didn't have it. However his ebay picture had the emblem on it so he said he would look through his remaining to see if had an older ones. Thank you, CS.

A red Compact, just delivered to work today. I'm hoping there's a new Executive in my mailbox when I get home.

Is this from the 40's? When did they change the placement of the 4 pins?

Pre 1946, but probably pretty close to that date looking at the tang stamp. Pin placement (and size) changed with the switch to what I call the "small frame" 91mm knives in 1952.

The 111mm marlin spike series seem to be not much like by collectors....I don't see them pretty often.

Someone do actually use it? I mean the marlin spike
I am more and more interested in 111mm Vics even if I don<t actually really like their lefty liner locks.

According to the guy at the flea market this morning this is a fake, so I got it for $5.  ;)

And yes, it's definitely a real Wenger.  :tu:
