Picked up the Swiss champ a couple of weeks ago. BNIB for £20.

The Danish green alox cadet  arrived last week.

Sorry about the carp pix, my phone doesn't seem to take decent indoor shots.

I've been calling the Victorinox knives with pictures on the handles 'tourist' knives. However that's probably causing confusion with the standard Tourist model. In the future I'll refer to them as 'scenic' knives. Any comments or suggestions?

Souvenir knives?

I think the "scenic knives" suggestion might be better suited. In my opinion the name "souvenir knives" would be better for those with the scales like the Lucerne Lion ones MARIOS7319 posted a while ago. But I'm not a native speaker so I may be interpreting it wrong. ;)

Sounds like a good plan.

Oh those are neat :tu:

There are 40 or 50 different handles of that style made by a small Swiss company. They're only sold in gift shops and jewelry stores in Switzerland; never found a mail order source for them. Some years back SwissBianco tried to work a deal with them, but it fell through.

I'm all heated for those green Dutch Cadets, they look so nice!

So I ended up getting an 84mm Electrician for what I feel was an awesome price, and now I'm thinking about having the nail file on my Cadet replaced with the electrician's blade, and because the Electrician is pretty cool too, I kind of want to have a combo tool put in it.

A direct swap would be easier, but a nail file doesn't match the Philips backtool very well.  Flat driver and caplifter are way better additions.

Super idea Syph!  Makes me wish I had an all decked out black Climber  :climber: :climber:

Ya it seems kind of random for a mod I guess, but Im just trying to use up spare parts.  Expect some different BO mods in the coming weeks... I got a few BO parts to use. :D

Some black SAK talk reminded me I wanted to ask you something. Why haven't we seen a "Disaster Area" SAK yet? Or did I miss it? ;)

I dunno, what goes on a disaster SAK?  Or did you mean disaster as in a bunch of random parts, or parts I messed up?

Bought my girlfriend a super tinker today. Now she won't be asking for my deluxe tinker to trim her nails anymore. And she now has screwdrivers.  :climber:

Kanton Polizei would be something like State police as Switzerland consists of 26 Kantons. Basel-Stadt is one of them. Basel is a main city and the Stadt means exactly that, city. :D

No pictures yet. At a flea market this morning I found a model 1909 Elsener with no date stamp. Metal is good, a lot of rust staining. The fiber scales are intact but slightly warped. Since it is carbon steel, I presume it was from 1909 to 1922. Not bad for $10. Also snagged a mint LM PST.

Later, I picked up a new Vic Spirit x at a gun show.
