:ahhh Who did you take hostage for that one? :D Super sexy!

I thought I'd done good with a Bantam (with a very aggressive hook on the opener and a destiny to be used with another Banty to make a Swiss Army Trapper), a Waiter (with threaded corkscrew) and trio of NIB Maglite Solitaires for $12.

Pity I couldn't talk the guy with the red Pruner into coming to a better price considering the condition of the pruner blade. Looks like the poor thing was used to open cans

impulsive purchase, Wenger SI almost new condition, 1972. Have been on the lookout for a silver soldier for a good price and with more than a toothpick for a blade

I like the flat finish of the steel in contrast to later SAK models. The F&F is not as immaculate as victorinox - the knife backspring is a bit raised above the scales, the finish of the backsprings and awl is a lot more crude. But I like it.  :)

That is a bit cool 8) 8)

I've just bought a Mauser 108mm. Looks virtually new, and it's in the original box with the booklet.  :mail:

I don't understand letting a knife get that way in the first place.  Even after heavy, heavy use, my tools don't come out looking like that.   I left my sideclip in a leather sheath in my car, in Texas heat and humidity, for a total of about 6 years.  I had used it a ton before that, so it was a little dirty.  I pulled it out to use it two years ago when I rediscovered Multis, and all it had was some green goo on it.  I oiled it and cleaned it and eureka, ten minutes later it was like new again.  I have never let any knife or tool I own get to that state.

Sorry. My cheap old camera seems to only take micro or longer distance pictures, it's not auto focus i.e. The darn pics are either too close or too far away, nothing in between.
I find it very hard to get a good picture of knife sized objects.

See what I mean.

I thought the packaging was extreme too! the 2/3's to left of the SAK is completely empty.

This pair are not the latest (I'll post that as well) but they are recent, and a great surprise. They are pinstriped Spartans, bought at a great price because apparently because they were nun to popular. I think there pretty cool looking and a really useful model with a good set of tools. Just the green pink and black to find at the same price (£12.00)! What do you guy's think of em'?
