Well, the ones with the big maple leaf do show up on eBay from time to time. There is also a Sportsman by the way.
You should seriously visit vicfan.com. All the hoopy froods are doing it.

+B green Carver. It's the latest in my possession, but there's a wave of new alox coming my way...

Every green alox piece Swiss Bianco makes, along with an orange Electrician Duo, red and black Pioneers, 99 Vic Soldier, and a Midshipman. :)

I guess my latest is a "Tinker Plus". :D  This should be a great urban EDC! :D

I picked up the standard Tinker and had a set of Ruby Plus scales so I put them on so I could have a two layer with the usual tools plus pen and pin (pulled out of spot but not all the way, can you see it?).

I do have to tighten the side with the logo as the middle peg doesnt seem to be catching and isnt tight!

i got my spirit with the butter blade in today and my first impressions are WOW,  this little brother to the Swisstool exudes quality and excellent craftsmanship not surprising of Victorinox to me at this point. i really like the form and ergonomics of the tool and while this one has seen some work detail its in great shape.  i got the CS Plus but i already knew it was without the mini driver.  this will see off day duty and while the sheath is great i wish there was a pocket clip.

i noticed a difference in the L wrench and red bit holder on this vs the one from the Swisstool.
the spirit holder has an extra attachment point and the collar is different too.

they are a bit "sticky" right now as they need to be cleaned up a bit.  i can already say they don't open very wide and i wonder why they didn't use the regular spring rather than the bar.  i also realized i am not a big scissor user and while i always have my explorer on me that is really all the scissors i ever need.  ill give this a good cleaning tomorrow and see if the scissors loosen.

I feel the same way about the Spirit's scissors.  They don't seem as great for some things, but they're good for quick snipping tasks.  Like you, I typically would have a SAK with scissors anyway, although I actually carry my Mechaneer (which lacks scissors) with the Spirit.  Most of my scissor needs are more quick snips anyway, so they are adequate.  Overall though, the Spirit is top notch, and I'm glad you like it :tu:

Nice catch! I think that's rare (not overly but at least hard to come by). Never saw that kind of blame "in person".
