Sweet!  :tu: I have one of those too.

Yeah, I just went back through a bunch of 84mm threads today and saw a pic of yours!  This is the first 5-layer 84mm I've ever owned.  They must be fairly rare.

Dreams really do come true!!!   :ahhh :ahhh :ahhh

Nice haul!

Got myself a Pocket Pal yesterday.  Turns out both the blades are not what I expected.    :-\  Comparing it to the blade on the Waiter, the large blade is a little less deep and has a bit less belly than the standard 84mm.

What really surprised me though, was the size of the small blade at 3cm!  It gave me a flashback of Heathrow cutlery.   :D  Here it is next to the 91mm small blade of my Explorer:

It is shorter than the blade on a Classic!  Same thickness as the 58mm knife (1.0mm).

85 must be a good year for vintage red Alox :tu:
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

I felt the same when I got the pocket pal a while back. Not sure where the picture is but I had it compared the a classic blade and the classic blade is bigger.  ::)
