I picked up a Trail Guide on fleabay this morning, and the pics from the auction are below.  Take a close look at the tweezer.  It's metal tipped, but it looks like it's designed for a back side scale.

That's interesting. I don't think I have ever seen that before.

Me either.  I'm thinking it isn't a Victorinox tweezer, but I have no idea what it's from.

My latest are these 74mm's (pic by seller):

(Image removed from quote.)

Very happy with the cheesy Executive which I had been looking for for quite a while. The black one (an Ambassador, alumin(i)um-tipped tweezers) has no shield which is nice. The red Executive needs new scales.

So they are staing in the family, even though I did not win them.  :tu:

Sorry mate, so we were bidding against each other again. Just like on that orange pinstripe SAK :)

Is the main draw toward funky scale colors and patterns a collector thing? I'm more of a user preferring the standard cellidor or nylon scales, though if I found a really unique/cool scale pattern, I'd go for it.

What are some of the more interesting scale patterns/colors folks have seen?

As a collector: yes, I am always looking for uncommon scale materials and colors. I am trying to get as many different ones as possible.
As a user I prefer black cellidor :)

It´s no problem to lose against you, the only downside is that we pushed up the price.

So it's good I didn't join the bidding then. I had it in my watch list. ;)

but the SAK has a hook, do you think someone just used an old tweezer?
If I can help, let me know

Nope, I think NutSAK is right in the assumption that these tweezers cam from a non Vic SAK.

A version of this with the new style file would be quite tempting.

I suppose so, considering I was tempted enough to buy it with the old one!   ;)

I was at Walmart earlier, and they had Super Tinkers with a small belt sheath for $25.  I'd sent my ST to a member here a while ago, and to be honest I missed it.  So, one came home with me.  :)

This one.  For $25, the knife and the sheath is a great deal, even though I'll probably never use the sheath.  A three layer 91mm just disappears in the pocket IMO, no need for a sheath.....

Just picked up a Super Tinker myself. Always wanted one. My first non-Alox SAK in a very, very long time.

Finally figured out a way of getting "stone" into the recruit parade. This material is ground up stone in resin and not too hard to work, but it looks the goods and is quite a bit heavier than the straight resin.

A #20 Turquoise Cadet.

Must be closing in on 20. Our will be when I get the next couple done.

Made a snake knot lanyard with a glass bead to go with the turquoise one.

Very cool, Martin.

Is the 69 same as 68 but with pruner blade instead of can opener?
