Puma 929 Goldfish
on: July 19, 2010, 07:50:50 PM
Recently i aquired this extremely rare Puma 929 Goldfish, a micro-multitool meant for flyfishing.
It came from the unsold stock of a long gone knife & fishing store.
The tool dates back to the 60's of the previous century and is completely in unused condition.
In the green box was also an original little catalogue explaining it's use.

This is the little catalogue unfolded;

That is so cute! I have never fished in my life either but I'm sure something like that would help tremendously :D

A nice little tool! Interesting that the flyer is written in german. I know that the tool was made in Germany, but I would have expected that they would have made english flyers, too (or dutch ones).  :think: Or did you get it over here?

Ooooh, that's a nice one Robert! :tu: Sorry I missed this thread earlier. It's amazing how many different fishing-related tools came out of Solingen in that era.  :salute:

Are the Goldfish handles solid brass do you suppose? :)
In order to be certain of having the right tool for every job.........one must first acquire a lot of tools

Yes, the handle scales are solid brass and maybe even guilded but i'm not sure about that last part.
I also had another one exactly like the Goldfish but made entirely from stainless steel.
