Gift From Leatherman
on:
September 06, 2007, 01:06:07 AM
As a thank you for helping Leatherman out with a few things, and for the promo work we do here, my contact at Leatherman Tool Group sent me a little token of her appreciation. It arrived today, safe and sound, and I thought I'd share it with you folks!
Who out there wouldn't want a tool straight from the factory with their own name on it?
Thanks Juli- you are the best!

Here's a pic of the other side, with
www.multitool.org
etched into it.
I'll get better pics soon, but for now I wanted to get a note up to publicly thank Leatherman for this great gift!

Makes a nice companion to the Multitool.org Charges too! I'll get a nice group shot when the green one arrives!

Only thing is, wouldn't it have been cooler with "Defender" or "G.G. Lamontagne" on it?
I don't suppose you'd look a gift horse in the mouth.
But seriously, what a kind and generous offering from the Leatherman folks.

They probably couldn't spell Lamontagne if they tried- few people can! I think there's probably a pile of Charge scales in the corner somewhere that say "Grant Lamontange, Grant Lamontan, Grant LaMonta, Grant awscrewit"
She asked me what I wanted on a tool if I could have one, and I just said I'd like to see our web address- the Grant part was a bonus they did all by themselves, and since it was a surprise, I didn't want to ask for too much thinking it would be hard to fit much more than Multitool.org on a Micra!
I agree- very generous of them, especially considering I didn't do more than just forward a few emails back and forth.

A very nice gesture from Leatherman indeed. They didn't simply grab a Charge off the rack and throw it in the mail. The etching makes for a nice personal touch. So does the metal box.
Good show Leatherman!

Yeah, I thought it was a very nice gesture indeed. I guess either good guys don;t always finish last, or I'm not as good as I was previously led to believe!
