How to make a SAK

How to make a Swiss Knife! And for SAK modifiers, a useful preview of the knife innards.  My apologies if it's been posted before:

What surprised me is the amount of hand assembly involved, although I do wonder if that was for the benefit of the television cameras.  I surely doubt that every 19-Franc Spartan is hand sharpened.

very nice Tim :tu:

I have noticed many blade companies do the final sharpening by hand to get it right and they check it with a laser or gauge.
the initial profiling is done with a machine but not the final sharp edge ;)

If you look in the "Multi-Media" thread/section here (maybe back a few pages) or in the "Break Room" we've sometimes posted
threads about television shows we have here, like "How's it Made" or "How Did They Do That" that show SAKs being made.

Grant and J-sews have been to trade shows and they got to use the machines and make a few! (lucky bas...err blokes!)
