That pliar head is one of LMs best. IMO
The same plair style is on my Core and in some ways is easier to use than the new style with 154cm replaceable cutters. Great photos and I really like the blue in the recesses on your newer one! I may need to get some enamel paint and get my Surge looking cool too. :multi:

Thanks  Yes the plier head of the Surge/Core is a very great one indeed :like: The blue was accomplished with a blue Sharpie :D Just color it in like a 2 year old and then let it dry a few seconds then wipe if off and the recesses will stay blue :tu:
Easy enough indeed! Although I have access to fourty something enamel paints at work, but they would be harder to remove once done. I may try the sharpie and see how it looks, then a more permanent enamel later. TY for the sharpie idea! That'll help me decide on a permanent color later. :like:

So Poncho you used sharpie on the stainless which looks really cool. Wonder what tsawyer used as that method wouldn't work on his BO, paint maybe? Finger nail polish?

Oh also, this may be a stupid question. But the surge scissors won't just slide into a wave outside replacing one of the tools right?

As Mr Harris, my geography teacher, always said, "there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers".

I hope mine doesn't fall into the latter category, by the way...
Mentally comparing my Surge and Wave side by side (they are at home) I think you'll find it difficult to fit the Surge scissors inside the Wave's outer bays lengthwise, i.e. without shortening both parts considerably. Even if you did manage the length, I'm not sure the liner lock dimensions are cross-compatible, nor that the Wave outer bays allow for the Surge scissors' thickness. It's no easy drop in at any rate. It's no wonder the Wave scissors are a completely different design, much more compact but quite a bit more fiddly (my opinion).

Correct, that it is a difficult process to make the Surge scissors fit the Wave :ahhh That is why most use the Wingman scissors for the Wave :salute:

Also T.Sawyer used a paint I believe  but what kind I can't remember

Figures. Thanks guys. I've already done the wingman scissors, it was ok. Better than the onboard scissors. But I like the surge oho ones. I guess that's another reason why they're two separate tools  :tu:

Does anybody carry a newer Surge in their pocket?
I knew my wife was a keeper when she transitioned from calling it a knife thingy to a multi-tool.
