I prefer bigger and heavier tools, feels more like grown men's proper tools rather than toy.

To help or make things more confusing let me offer the following;

Surge. Bigger and beefier.
154CM wire cutters.
Blade exchanger.  Lots of options to materials you can cut.
Awl.
Bit driver.  Add bit card and you've now got solutions to many screw types.  Add Bit extender and you've got even more options with 1/4 bits and ratcheting possibilities.
OHO Scissors.  Large scissors might I add.

Wave. Compact as compared to Surge.
154CM wire cutter ONLY with + model.
Bit driver.  Same as Surge.
Scissors.  Smaller but very capable.
Small bit driver.

I'll stop there.

Basically you can't loose with either choice IMO.  It comes down to the finer points and WEIGHT.

Thank you.  The Surge has been a great companion over the years.  I am not using them as much as I once did but there is one on my coffee table at the ready.  Its an older model with some minor modding.  Large driver was turned into a chisel.

The New Surge ticked a lot of boxes for me.  My old Surge was take apart to use the BE for my Mini Surge Wave Mod.  I also used the Awl.  I was lucky to have found a beat up Surge so I put my old Surge back together.  I didn't need the large driver and wanted a chisel.  I debated on taking out the serrated blade and finding a suitable pry bar but for around the house I decided its not needed.

IMO the Wave is the tool that screams for mods.  What would you like to do to your Surge?

Not sure yet
But I would like to remove the normal blade
and maybe fit another jigsaw blade exchanger in its place :tu:

And to the Wave I want to fit the Surge scissors  :tu:
