on: December 26, 2010, 03:46:49 PM
well guys im still on my mission for a nice knife to have on my keys as a usable small knifesingle blade but abit more heavy duty than a vic classic.etc.but not big that if mr plod notices its a whats that for job.anyway ive tryed a victorinox classic , 2 leatherman style ,spyderco bug ,spyerco honey bee fallkniven u1 but the fallknivens to big.both spyderco are the right size and perfect for the uses just chinese and very soft steel whereas i want a good quality steel.that is strong and holds an edge well cost realy isent an issue solong as it is good steel and meets my criteria for a keychain knife.i am so suprised there is no good quality keychain  knives about that dont have silly blades. :(

I'd suggest a small Opinel, some come with key-rings, but steel might be too soft for you if you want long edge retention.  Get good and sharp though. :)

SOG micron was OK, but I didn't really use it enough before I gave mine away as a gift.
Be excellent to each other and always know where your towel is.

I looked at the Boker, but thought it a bit chunky for keychain carry. Also,it still looks like a locker which might waste you a bit of time with an over zealous copper.

The subcom 42 is a bit big for keychain use I'd say.

Michael Morris does a small version of his famed Friction Folder. Also has a useful bottle openner on it.

A.G. Russel Ultimate Pen Knife.  Titanium Handle, VG-10 steel, super light weight, 1.5" blade, non-locking slipjoint knife.  Costs $20 US.  For the price, I'm not sure you could do better.
