I got the ps4 yesterday, and I have to say I like the style cs and the ps4 the way they are.  I am passing the mission on to Andreas.
Good Luck Andreas :) :)

Yeah in a perfect world me too, but it's actually quite nice where it is. The scissors wouldn't really be comfortable replacing the file because they're so much thicker it would bend the plastic scale out and probably not work well at all, and I'd rather have the scissors and the blade where it is than not have scissors at all.

To illustrate the point of thickness, this is the difference in thickness from the scissors to the blade

It's no issue when replacing the blade because there's plenty of room, but replacing the file is another matter

Though it may be something like that ;)

One interesting little sidenote: If you can get the rivet on the bottom of the tool out and replace it, you can put on the scale from the Style onto the Style CS, which holds tweezers...

  The Style CS already has tweezers, though.

Yeah, but not after doing this mod. What I'm saying is it's possible to keep the tweezers and do this mod like I did it by using Style scales

It's very tempting trying to find some bits of metal and turn the carabiner part into a flat bit holder...

Will see if I can come up with something when I go home next weekend.... need some place I can go nuts with the cutting wheel on my dremel without worrying about setting my whole apartment on fire in the process.

Since my Squirt PS4 can use bits though it's not a priority

I will be keeping the tool. I dont want to have a mini-skeletool lookalike :P

But i only need the knife, pliers and Scissors. I will try to reduce the PS4 to only have these tools by removing two layers which should make it a tad lighter and smaller.

I EDC a Topeak Ratchet and some bits - those screwdrivers on the PS4 wont even come close to that. And as my Ratchet is modified to be a t-shank blade holder as well i dont need the File either. I EDC a t-shank Ceramic saw and a t-shank Leatherman Diamond File as well.

A few months ago i asked me again which tools i am frequently using and which of them sees heavy duty use.
I concluded, that only the bits where used heavily and that the leatherman flatbits werent strong enough for me and my use. The other tools i used where the scissors (nail shortening), the knive (opening boxes and similar light use) and the pliers (pulling out splinters and nails, grabbing tiny screws, cutting electric wire).
I also used the diamond file frequently for Blade sharpening. I dont really often use a saw but as the ceramic saw is quite light and easily fits in my wallet its a nice to have.

As Scissors, knive and pliers only see quite light use i think the PS4 might be my new EDC tool.
But for the Bits i needed a tool which is strong enough for about every screw under M8 ;-) Thats where the ratchet comes in.

if you're going to reduce the thickness of the PS4 you need to cut pieces off the pivots... unsure how well that will work

Not posting pics for this, but the spring lock on the carabiner is very flimsy and weak by default so I took it off and used my Wave and Skeletool to vend it so it would both be less flimsy and spring back stronger

Was doing somehting else in my workshop at home and decided to make a little prototype for the flat bit holder. For this to work well one should cut all the flat bits in half. SHould also use some thinner metal for a casing on top of this (blending with the carabiner) and of course secure the things. Concept works though

I was wrong. Turns out you CAN fit the scissors in where the nailfile is, it's just an epic pain in the impulse engine to do so. Also, you can make the blade OHO
