I should NOT have gone to specsavers
on: August 30, 2010, 01:12:43 PM
So I go for a contact lenses refit,I really prefer them over glasses  ;) anyway I explain I want to be able to see near and far,in my book that means varifocal Right? wrong the woman serving me says no! this is not possible and I would have to have one eye for reading and the other for distance   WTH  :ahhh that would be like having one lens from a reading glass fitted to your distance glasses  ??? so she sent me off with single vision distance lenses and said I would have to use a magnifier if I needed to read LMAO at the time I trusted what she was telling me but since researching a little I've figured out she gave me a load of BS  >:( I due back tomorrow and man is she in for a poke in the eye  :pok:

I don't know much about contact lenses, but this sounds like complete nonsense to me  I guess you would end up with headache and not seeing anything at all. Or you would need to wear an eyepatch over the eye you don't need. Like a pirate  :ahhh

Actually that makes sense.

The human brain is a powerful thing and although it would take you a little while to adapt (two weeks ish) its quite common for people to have one distance and one near vision contact lens.
I'm not taking any more mod orders at present, sorry.
