Hello Awl on day 30.

Today is a pic of all my Lovelies together.  I am sure SWAMBO and the daughter have another one or 2 in their handbags etc but on day 30 a pic of 30 Micras.
Thanks to the team for some great pics and a good bit of fun.

Sorry this post is late, but reception was far south of mediocre.  ::)

I cut a zip tie to reposition the light in my cnc mill today.

Day 30 bonus

One of my spydercos, one of my Rebars, one of my micras, my lumintop edc aa, and a mini clipper lighter I picked up a few days ago.   I did not know Clipper made mini lighters!  So far seems great!

Great pics all, this was a lot of fun!

I hope you never have to use it, but it's good to have on hand.

Sorry this post is late, but reception was far south of mediocre.  ::)
Hopefully that's been rectified by now!

Day 31

The Micras have been put away. June will see me moving on to other things with metal scales and bigger things.

I've seen some of y'awl in previous challenges, and this was my first challenge with some of y'awl. At least two participants will be joining me in the Alox Addict challenge. I hope to see every one of you in a future challenge.

It was a great time. Thanks to everyone who made it so, as well as the mod(s) who awarded the badges!

Managed to escape work using my lunch break to drive back....only to find a tree down....going to use the Micra to assemble the chainsaw after it was cleaned.

It's pouring down, so getting a picture in now before I am soaked..

Many thanks again everyone it has been fun, and I'll join you in other challenges as the year progresses

Is that an electric chain saw? And hope you didn't get drenched!

Just as any boy playing with toys in a downpour. Done that a many a time.  Cursed up a storm. But would do it again if needed.
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

, but having to open the thing to get to the blade or other tool inside is annoying.  Number one tool I use, would be the blade, so doesn't really fit.

As much as I love the Micra, I agree about the blade.  A blade is my most-used tool too, so that's why I usually carry something with a one-hand opening blade.  I almost posted that I would like to see a Micra with a one-hand openable blade, but I realized that even if one could be made, it would be too small to be reasonably useful.  That said, here is a bonus pic - a match made in heaven.

Well one final post for those that are interested....the tree and the Micra, a tail of rain, wind and rabbits....

Yes that's right, 38 inches across and cut into 5 x 62'ish inch lengths....with a 20 inch chainsaw bar, and moved with a rear 3 point linkage forks on a Massy 135.

Hard work that, lucky the crown was reduced 4 years ago.

Now a picture of the ducks....they have really grown....

That is a very good pair.  I think the Micra would also make an excellent pairing to a LM Signal.

I hope you never have to use it, but it's good to have on hand.
This is my thought as well.  Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst.

They made the now discontinued Style CS that looks like a hybrid Skeletool and Micra. I assume it didn’t sell well.

I have one as a backup if my Micra ever gives up the ghost. Seems like the screwdriver isn’t as robust though

My travel combo, small, and can travel somewhat hidden in checked luggage and has made it aboard several cruise ships.
My MICRA & Style PS

MICRA -Easy to grip scissors, pick/file, extra small flat driver/cap lifter, several flat drivers w/Phillips, tweezers and chisel ground blade.

Style PS - blade less, small but functional pliers, tweezers (small), small scissors (good for nails), file/multiuse tip, and heavy duty cap lifter/clip .
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

Yeah, I'm not too fond of that one.  It looks cool, but the handle really digs into the palm of your hand when you use the scissors.  :(
