Wire Stripper Question
on: September 08, 2010, 08:37:54 AM
Will the wire stripper fit in a PPP?

The wood saw is slightly longer (mm or two) than the file.

The S44 review here shows a file in the PowerPocketPlier (item in front) and also shows over 3" clearance.

On my PowerLock, the little handle flaps do not permit items much longer than the file or saw.

The wirecutter page on SOG's site includes a pic of it alongside a saw, and it is shorter.

So, with all that logic, length of the wire cutter should not be a problem on the PPP.  As for width, the wire cutter specifies 2 spaces.  If you can fit your knife blade and the file (file towards inside) right next to each other and still close the tool, then the wire stripper should have no problem clearing the plier head.  Maybe someone can give a more experience-based answer on that before you disassemble and re-arrange to find out though.  :)

It does not say that the scissors will fit in the PPP, but they will.  I would think it is possible though you are dealing with how thick it is and what you may have to take out to make it fit.  You may have to give up a long implement to make it work.

I have no qualms losing a knife blade, since I always have one anyway. Thanks for the help.

I think on that model the blade and file are the long implements aren't they?
