Hey, this is nice. :tu: Count me in for at least some part of this. I'll get to catch up on all the good MT stuff I've been missing since dropping out of the construction world.

I don't have any idea what my schedule will look like, and I should have a ~4 month old boy by then, so don't plan anything around me. But you're only 90 minutes or less from my place, so I'll make sure I can stop in for at least part of a day, if not more.

hmmmm....tempting it would only be an 8 hour drive or so, or I could fly in, wouldn't be much. I'll have to ask the bosslady, as our next little one will be due Mid April.

Sorry to say it but the American meet is a lot more tempting since they got guns and cheap MT’s and other nifty stuff, the place is also pretty close to DC and New York which are 2 of the cities that I REALLY want to visit.

Prices are really cheap from ATL-BWI (235.00 with fees) right now, so now its even more tempting.  Somebody would have to stay with my wife for the weekend to help watch the kids, but it is seeming more doable right now.  Don't plan anything around me as its still 50/50, but it is doable for now.

I  left \ retired from my investigator job today 9/30/2010 , I may have an interview next week with the competition or I may just start my own agency and work part-time for something to do to keep busy!

But I am planning on heading North from Alabama Gulf Coast in my Avalanche for the fun and festivities in May 2011, thanx for the invite.  Mr. W., very nice of you to do this for us. :ahhh

There's a Gander Mountain supposedly about an hour away.  I could do a quick recon to see what they have...

Thanks, I think I've been to one before, seems to be not as well stocked as other big outdoor stores.

The Gander Mountain I have here in town has more knives than what some of the knife dealers have at gun and knife shows. :pok:

There's a Dicks Sporting Goods about 10 minutes away, but pretty limited selection there.

Ok me and thw wife talked it over today and she said I could go for sure if the baby delivery went as planned. If she gets a c section then it becomes a maybe. Is there any cell reception on the farm?

Tons of coverage.  High speed wireless if your plan allows.

Country Knives is probably a bit too far (I'd guess 1 1/2 hr) but it sure is a nice store.

There is a knife shop in Frederick called Edgeworks. Might be a destination.  I'll check it

The Knifecenter is based in Maryland too.  I've sent them an email.
