Christmas in September Pt1.
on: September 21, 2010, 04:33:00 PM
Yesterday I got 2 pretty swish parcels , the first one included the KaBar USMC short knife NIB that specgrade donated as a fund raiser for Dave Bowen. I love this knife, good size & that leather bound handle looks & feels  .
Specgrade also included a bevy of extras ; a folding linerlock utility knife , Camillus Demo knife , my first MT with a torch & nice linerlock folder

I will give the marine a couple of licks on the Sharpmaker too get it shaving sharp & I will be well happy with it  8) 8).

THANKS SPECGRADE :salute:

Mat.

If I can answer for Mat, I kind of thought NAHC = North American Hunting Club, but I never found out if that is true or not. I have two others marked US. Great knives!

I've had the KaBar USMC for a while and even if I'm not a 'big knife' kind of guy, I realized immediately why it was so popular. :)

Oh, so it happens in England too. I'm glad, I thought we were the only country to put Santas everywhere while the weather is still fine for a swim in the sea. :)

I picked up that Ka-Bar at a gun and knife show back in the late '90s and I am surprised how much they go for now. I miss it already  ;)

Nothing beats a nice leather washer handle in looks and feel. I have a full size Ka-Bar with a Kraton handle I got for a song and now they are $70 and up. I'd gladly trade it for a leather handle one any day.

VicX, X-mas in July around here. Not really but that what the sale ads say.
