All hail the Victorinox Cybertool 29!!!
on: October 05, 2010, 11:17:52 PM
I know, why all the love for an old tool.  :D  I just picked up a Vic Cybertool 29 in nr-mint condition for $20 shipped.  :mail:  What I really love about the tool is that it's very simple. It only has the most basic tools that I use for basic knife repair, so it has now become my dedicated knife repair tool. I mostly just change out pocket clips on my Emerson's and remove scales from my Vic's, but the CT29 fits the bill perfectly.  :tu:

Anyone else have love for the CT29?

No I don't have one but it sounds as though you got a good deal on it!  I've looked at them and been tempted
at times.  I like that arm and the bits.  :tu:

Well I would have love for it if I had one! :ahhh

One of these days I'll have myself a Cybertool and I will love it ever so tenderly. Then I will inevitably drove it on the pavement several times like an abused child and abandon it to the desk drawer.

One day!
But I have drooled over the entire Cybertool line for quite some time.

ME! I love my Cybertool 29, bought mine in Hong Kong. I have the one with blue scales.

Unlike you, I don't fix knives. It's my computer repair tool. I initially couldn't decide between the 29 and 34 because I really really wanted a pair of scissors. But went with the 29 eventually because I wanted it slim, and I always have my Micra with me anyway. I think Swiss Bianco had a special run with a CT29-like tool with scissors--would really love to get my hands on one of those.

Oh, and if the bits were also magnetised, that would be perfect.

You could probably buy a cheap little magnetiser and do this yourself. :P

I love all Cybertools.  I prefer the 34 or 41, but the 29 is nifty too.  Gots to luv the bit driver.   :salute:

I have a CT 29 and I find it a very easy and handy EDC knife. Mine are clothed in Sapphire and Ruby.  :tu:

I love the small pliers on the 34. And the scissors. Makes it perfect for paracord work. But the 29 looks great for pocket carry, the 34 is too large for that.

You always find a good reason for a new SAK  :gimme:

I only have the Cybertool 34.  Some will remember last year when a web site was selling them incredibly cheap and they got bombarded with orders.  I think it was a mistake on the web sites part but they honored the price, at least for most of us.  Ahhh, the good ole days.   :D

That green really is lovely  :dd:

I always thought the lack of scissors on the 29 was a deal breaker but they are still a damn handy little tool.

Dammit neil, between you and chako, the photos on here are too much!  I think I may have just ordered a Green CT34 without realizing it!
