Any chance of that Wengergrip Group buy happening?
on: September 24, 2007, 03:28:40 AM
Hi

I remember Def had floated the idea out there a while back. Was there ever any movement on it?

I know the New Ranger 70 has grabbed a lot of attention but the pliers on the Grip look much
better and love the hex bit adapter.

Thanks in advance

I have a WengerGrip and while the pliers are heavy duty I don't care much for the hex bit set up. It's not very functional IMHO. I much prefer the Ranger 73/75 set up with the pliers folding completely and neatly into the handle.

Don't listen to Tim- he's from California, what does he know? :P

Seriously, I like the WengerGrip (aka SwissGrip) and think it's one of the better multitool designs out there which is why I jumped at the chance to get a bunch of them for Multitool.org and SOSAK members.  Unfortunately, the gentleman at Wenger that I deal with is a very busy gentleman and I have never heard any more about the possibility of importing a bunch of them.  I will continue to harass him about it though, as I have several people that keep asking me about it.

If it can be kept from SWMBO I would be interested in depending on how much I can sneek out of the household budget ;D

Thanks for the heads up Def. I have been wanting one of those for so long.

Don't worry FV I'll be buying a 73/75 too :) I really like the looks
of the new Rangers. They fix the one flaw the OHT had, the chisel ground blade.
