What a tough decision   If weight really isnt an issue then you could look at the full size Swisstool but the Spirit is also a very capable and has never let me down . As the Spirit is a little smaller you may find yourself carrying it more often and like everyone says the handles when using the pliers are probably the most comfortable on any multitool .

Spirit X.  Even though I own the large MT's like SwissTool's and Leatherman Surge, Core, Super Tool, ST 200, ST 300, etc.  I have them more for collection purposes than anything else.  I like the "normal" full size tools, not the "large" full size tools.  Like the Wave, Charge, Spirit etc.  But I guess it all boils down to what you are going to use it for.

Does the spirit plus wrench attach to the tool?

Nope, it's a separate tool entirely.

Swisstool X simply because it has better scissors & a usable ruler & it can be used as a set square. I've even used mine as a level. :)

I haven't seen any pictures of it on a Spirit, but here's a thread about it on a Blast:

Go with the Swisstool if scissors are important to you, otherwise, get the Spirit and carry a SAK with scissors too!

Just giving the poll a bump :), also how do you fit a clipped spirit in it's sheath?

Why would you fit a pocket clip and then want to use a sheath
