Welcome.   :multi:

And now that we have Bulgarians here, is there a reason for you guys to have so many names ending in "ov" ?   :)

Craig, Carlos, thanks! :)

Carlos, lol: well, that's one of the ways for us to form our middle & surnames- those are suffixes indicating possession "-ov/a; -ev/a", etc (they've remained from older times, I guess.. we use them sometimes today, too, but now I can't say it's that often). So... basically, if a person is called Georgi Ivanov Dimitrov - the middle name is the father's name, usually, so we know that... Georgi kind of belongs to his father, Ivan. :D:D and then to his... grandpa or whoever the initial "Georgi" name was :D:D

Guys, do you mind us talking in "Bulgarian" to one another? :D I tried to write in Cyrillics, but the forum doesn't recognise the Cyrillic letters and they appear as question marks :D

I don't think anyone minds- it wouldn't be much of a forum if we restricted people communicating with eachother!  :D

Looks like we are getting a pretty good bunch of members from Bulgaria- maybe we need to think about a subforum for Bulgarian multitools!  :D

The Mountain Rescue Service in our country have an official knife by Wenger. It is listed as
Ranger grip 88.827
Check it out here: http://wenger.bg/swiss-army-knives/oficialen-nozh-na-pss/rangergrip-88.html

Have you seen it elsewhere or is it limited to Bulgaria only?

As far as Bulgarian multitools go, I'm not sure if we have a local manufacturer of multitools. I know about a company, which makes foldable knives. There are also many craftsmen who also make foldable knifes by hand, but the other members from Bulgaria might have more info.

Are the Bulgarian folding knives any good? And what's the name of the company? I'm curious. :)

So the name of the company that I know of is <Manly> http://manly-bg.com/
I haven't bought one yet, so I really can't tell how good they are.
Every knife they make is hand made, they appear to have two general models: one larger with locking mechanism and one smaller without the mechanism. The site says that they use sandvik 12c27 steel, and the scales are from different types of wood or horn.

Good steel for knives and they certainly look nice.
