Thank you very much for the welcomes!

I have to apologize that as a corporate guy, I don't get much time  to indulge in this 'madness'   :D
So I will just try to sneak in a post or two from time to time.

Hi guys,

New to the forum, been a long time lurker and finally joined. I'm a bit of an addict and love the functionality of multitools. Started with a Schrade, moved on to a Supertool (which I also upgraded to the newer model with the replacement cutters), have several versions of the Skeletool, have a couple of Waves, got my grail Swisstool and this doesn't count the smaller models I've picked up here and there. I'm sure I've missed a couple that I haven't mentioned too.

Glad to be part of a group of like-minded individuals.

Cheers,
Vince

Afternoon all, Newbie here. I only found the forum recently, until then I thought my condition was relatively unique, but no, there appears to be loads of us who like things sharp, pointy and foldy.  :D

It all started probably 40ish years ago with a Vic Camper (still have it!) then a Swiss Champ (no hook, scissors with screw, still got that as well) and now includes Classic, MiniChamp, Climber, Deluxe Tinker and I've just ordered a new Swiss Champ so I can retire the old one  :D and my late Dads Spartan, that needs a new small blade (my first resto!)

As well as SAKs, Leatherman is also a favourite, with Surge, (original) Wave, Juice Pro, Micra and Squirt and Crunch, (had a Style, which was stolen )

There's more, but typing this lot has made me think I may have a problem.....

Cheers, Cakemonster

Hello All. Have been wandering around the site for a while and decided I should join in the fun. I'm an aerospace engineering student out here in Texas (originally from Washington). Only have a few SAKs but have been wanting to make a custom for a while now. You guys are definitely motivating me to get building!

Hi everyone on the forum  :hatsoff: Another newbie from the UK here. I'm from Salisbury (Yes that Salisbury that was in the news a while ago!) I've always been a fan of penknives multitools & gadgets in general. When I was a teenager back in the mid 70's we used to go camping in the New Forest and I was always whittling some piece of wood or other which annoyed my parents especially my Dad who would’ve preferred me to have become a mechanic like him

I'm a big fan of Leatherman multitools I have a couple of Wave's, a Signal plus various bit kits/extenders pocket clips and one of those excellent Skinth sheaths to keep a Wave kit all safe in. I will be reading up on the mods section as I plan to mod my oldest Wave. My other interest includes amateur radio and older Land Rovers, although I've given up the latter due to health reasons. I'm not as fit as I once was so I drive something that doesn’t require getting tools out nearly every weekend  :tu:
FYI my username is just my ham radio callsign ;)

Good morning all, I’m Pup and a new starter to the forum.
I’ve had a leatherman for what seems like a life time and have only recently started looking into army knives.

My eldest son recently broke one of his front teeth.  It’s been fixed, but, I’ve told him no eating apples or pork pies anymore unless he cuts them up. I offered to buy him a Swiss Army Knife and so a search starter.  I wanted an original army knife and via this forum found out there is more to this than a simple fire and forget purchase.  After a bit of research, we have a Dutch legacy in the family and I’ve set my mind on giving each of my 4 kids a Dutch Army Knife manufactured in the year of their birth.

Sounds simple but I think this may take some time.  I’ve had my brother in law start looking in Holland, he came back with an answer of “I can’t find any” so I think you get the picture, looks like I’m on my own personal quest to find them.  Brother in laws, what’s the point in them!!!!!!!
