Gone a bit over now.
If I had a fine looking women at home like your's, I doubt my posting would have got into double figures
Guess what, i've posted in this thread but not actually done my little intro thing....oooops! Well better late than never (why do lecturers never agree with that philosophy!) I'm Ryan aged 21, born and raised in Yorkshire, UK, currently attending Loughborough Uni, studying Mechanical Engineering.Brief history of my addiction:Got my first SAK at around 11/12 but lost it somewhere on a beach in Scotland. Intervening period had a multitude of cheap sak/pst knockoffs, and knew none of them were any good.Got a SAK climber for my 17th (i think) birthday and was immensely happy. Then when i was 18 i bought myself a Gerber MP600, Swisstool and a Leatherman Wave all in the space of about 4 months, and the addiction took hold!I like to get outside and go Cycling (both on and off road) walking and camping. Seem to have an affinity for making stuff go boom (like the time we made a pulse jet in my mates back yard....that was safe!). I love listening to music and play guitar. Technology fascinates me and hence my room looks like the terminator has just blown up and left bits of himself hanging around. And food, i like food, in vast quantities...i love my metabolism!Well thats the thread dragged kicking and screaming back on topic....my work here is done!Roadie

Mechanical Engineering eh? Do you already have a career in mind?
You made a pulse jet I'm impressed, how long did it last before it shook it's self to pieces

I really need to start figuring that out, or at least narrow it down to a few options.Quote from: micky d on December 03, 2007, 08:14:44 AMYou made a pulse jet I'm impressed, how long did it last before it shook it's self to pieces Amazingly it never destroyed itself, however we only managed to get it going for over 5secs once, although it did run for a couple of minutes that time, then the fuel ran out. We were as amazed as anyone we managed to do it!
Hi all, just thought I'd post on this newbie thread to say hello. I've been reading for a while, joined (a couple weeks ago) and posted today for the first time.I mentioned on another thread about a give-away I will be starting soon. i am looking for ideas on how to do this, so please chime in.I am 49 years old and have been carrying around stuffed pockets and loaded belts my whole life.Currently it's just me and my two collies (Seven, a three year old sable and Binger, an eight month old female blue merle) living on 15 acres outside the small central Virginian town of Mineral.I'll be telling about and showing some of my toys soon.BTW, how do you get those cool icons into your posts and is there a place to donate to help fund the Forum?Calvin
I did'nt know that about Huskies, very interesting. No matter how "bad" our dogs can be I always say "The more people I meet, the more I love my dogs!" Calvin
micky d, beautiful dog, what's his name and how old?BTW I'm working out the details about the give-away with Def. We should have something ready soon! Calvin
Sorry to hear about your dog. I was miserable when my last Collie died. It took me 2 months to find a sable male. No dog at home really stinks. Calvin
