Sorry, can't say as I have.  Never heard of it.  I'm always willing to try some ice cream, though!  What's the story?

it's a place in South Haven MI. It is the best Ice Cream I have ever had, and I'm from Chicago
where they have tons of the joints. If you go, notice the license plates from all over the country
in the parking lot. They should open in a month or two, take the kids and the neighbors kids, they'll
remember it forever.

Well, seein' as how I live in Virginia now, it would be a pretty long road trip, but it sounds like the ice cream's worth it :)  We used to go to South Haven a lot when I was a kid, so maybe I have been but just don't remember it.  I've still got family up there, so if I get back sometime and happen to get over that way, I'll be sure to stop in.

your family should know about it. I'd go camping near South Haven and we'd always make a stop or two there.

Tell you guys what; I'll be going down to South Haven this summer. I'll check out Sherman's Ice Cream while I'm there. If it is really as good as WD is making it out to be, I'll be happy to throw a couple scoops into an envelope and mail it to you.  :D

the reason I ask is they have a belly-buster, hog feast or something and if you can finish it you get a prize (T-Shirt I think) or something.
and they have the biggest cones ever! the triple scoop or such, you'll see.

man I miss that place! if you go on the weekend, expect lines, but they move pretty good (lotta workers)
they have 2 sections, you can go inside and get a number or just get in line outside (we do both!)
I recommend any fruit flavor (i.e. coconut, pineapple, strawberry-cheesecake etc.) and their pistachio omg!

Hi,

My name is Dan.  Some might know me from EDCForums.com.  I'm a moderator over there.

I have a passion for all things mechanical.  I have a small collection of multitools, but if I stick around here long, that might change :D

I've been diving into the reviews forum and learning about a lot of tools I never knew existed.

This looks like a great forum with good people.  I hope to be able to contribute.

Thanks,
Dan

:)

Good to have you man!  I'm not a member at EDCForums.com but many here are, so I'll just assume you already know who to avoid! :P

I've been working at updating the Reviews section and some other items on the main site, so feel free to check back often and/or make and comments or requests.  If I can do it, I probably will!

Thanks for the kind welcome :)

Well, I have about 14 multitools, nothing too fancy.  I just posted my collection photos HERE.

My favorites right now would have to be my Gerber Clutch, LM Micra and LM Squirt P4.  The P4 is new and I had not taken photos of it just yet.

Strange thing is that I never considered tools like SAK's to be multitools until just recently.  I'm not sure why I thought like that...

Multitools that I look forward to someday having would be: LM Wave, LM Xe6, SOG PowerLock, Gerber Flik (I like this one especially after reading a review of it here on your forum).

There are plenty of older tools that I am interested in too.

Yes, my pockets are bulging, but sadly not with cash ;)

Dan

Hello,  My name is Dennis, from W. central Ohio. I finally joined after lurking for a month or so.  I found this site while looking for info on a possible new tool purchase.  Love the reviews .
I have several MTs but have mostly carried a Gerber blunt nose 600 for the last several years until recently. Lately I have been carrying a Freehand. I have mostly Gerbers, and a couple Leathermans. Plus I have a Sog on order. Would also Like to try a Vic  when finances allow.
My main hobby is antique Wheel Horse garden tractors(collecting, trading, restoring). thats what my MTs get used for the most during the warm months of the year .              I think thats enough for now. I dont usually talk this much. But I have really been enjoying this site and forum.  Thanks,

Dennis

That's fascinating- I always thought that the blunt nosed models were more useful than the semi-needle nosed models that are more commonly available from every brand.  One of the reasons I've always been such a fan of the SwissGrip is because it's a blunt nose.  With the older Gerbers like the MP600 it makes more sense since the plier tips don't stick out the end like the needle nose variants do.

Another thing I find fascinating is not only hearing what tools people prefer, but also the vast number of things that folks use multitools for on a regular basis!  Antique tractors are a new one around here, but we do have a pretty broad range of uses with other members.  Half the fun isn't in what tool someone uses, so much as what it's used for!

Glad to have you aboard and thanks for taking the time to register and say Hi!

Time to try the picture thing.  If all goes as planned there will be a 1956 RJ35,a 1958 RJ58,and a 1967 model 867 which is the one that started the madness.
