I thought you liked the Streamwinder to much!

I love the Sidewinder, but I am finding that I use it less and less when out and about and use it more around the house.  For EDC the Fenix with its 3 levels covers my needs pretty well.

This may (and probably will) change again very soon though.  :D
I know what you mean mate  ::)Will you do another pic when it's been modded?

Of course.  :D

Just got to sort out my next OH folder though.  ;)
I'm back!!

I thought I had my waiter, as that's the first thing that gets slipped into my pocket, but I can't feel it.

yep,if u just walk real slowly or just stand in foot rocky beach here,in certain time of year(end of summer) youll usually see those at the bottom and catch those easily, then just boil water in can by fire and as it boils, dip those crabs in it,let be for few minutes, crack em open and eat.tasty & easy, and the animal hasnt lived its life in one of those concentration camps.

I find the swiss champ a bit big for me.I like them for Rucsacs
belt carry but i can't carry them in my pocket. :-\
I can't carry my Swisschamp in my jeans pocket it's just too big the only way it gets a pocket carry is my jacket on occasions the "sheeple " would get scared by a big skin head with a knife
Yeah that's when i have to pocket carry things.I suppose that could be a problem. Are you aloud to carry a locking multi at work?
Yes but it normally lives in my kit bag belt carry has it's complications .It would hurt both body and ego to get stabbed with your own blade :D

I've got way too much stuff in my pockets at the moment.

On my belt I have a Charge in a nylon sheath along with a bit extender, a Bullet Space Pen and a Dorcy AAA light.

In my pockets I have....

1) Hammer Brand Kamp-King
2) Another Dorcy AAA light - 1 watt and focusing.
3) Car Key
4) Wallet with the usual plus a DMT coarse credit card sharpener and an EZ-Lap fine cc sharpener.
5) K&M Match Case
6) Small tin containing a general repair kit
7) Key Chain with keys, whistle, Vic Mini Champ, P38, ferro rod and various discount cards.
8) Zippo
9) Old match case with waterproof matches
10) Bullet Advertising pencil
11) Vic Executive
12) Pilot Petit
13) Bandana
15) Queen Large Toothpick

I think I got it all. To be sure I'd have to dump my pockets and I'm too lazy at the moment.

I'm very happy with the Queen Toothpick. Fit and finish are very good and it even came with a usable edge. Queen seems to be getting better about their edges. Mine has honey amber bone scales and I love the color. Its mostly used for food prep. Here's a picture.

Sorry, but I'm keeping this one. It was part of a group buy from another forum I'm a member of and has sentimental value.

Lion, would you please elaborate on this item?

I'm wondering if it's something like the old Kamp-King (an inexpensive BoyScout-USArmy-style knife) that I used to EDC many years ago.

(May have been made by Colonial of RI, IIRC.)

It probably is very much like it. The Kamp-King name was owned by Imperial, as was the Hammer Brand brand name. They put out Kamp-Kings under both brands. There were 3 blade versions (knife, bottle opener and can opener) and 4 blade versions (knife, awl, bottle opener and can opener). Mine is a 4 blade version, though I also have a Super Kamp-King with 6 blades.

My Kamp-King was made somewhere between 1946, when they started using the modern style can opener, and 1955, the last year the tang stamp on it was used.

I'm not sure what Colonial called their scout style knives. Forest-Master maybe?

Leo

Edited to add the ebay seller's picture of the Hammer Brand.

Thanks for the info, Lion.

All of my Kamp Kings were the 4-implement version - I've never even seen the 3-implement or 6-implement versions.

I started a thread on Kamp Kings a while back, but not that many MTO members were familiar with them:
http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,4532.0.html

At one time Kamp King was the ultimate beater pocket knife:
-made is USA
-cheap (about $2 when I got them, maybe $10 in today's debased currency.)
-robust build
-fairly durable

I EDCed a Kamp King when conditions were grungy and I wanted to avoid buggering up my regular EDC Case or Camillus knives:
-canoeing
-caving
-working at a gas station
-roofing, house painting, and construction jobs

I'm sure I bought half-a-dozen Kamp Kings over the years - some of them lasted for several years of rugged duty before being lost or stolen.

.
